Okay so I've been searching for the perfect job.. one that includes children, art, music, dancing.. you know, a job that's hard to find.
And I take the little guy I Nanny for to Gymboree class, and I wish I could work there so badly. So, to make a long story short, Gymboree posted an ad on Craigslist, see ad:
http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/edu/578831682.html
And I totally jumped on that because A, its awesome, and B, its right on track with what I want to be doing...
and they called me for an interview right away!! Yipee! So tomorrow at 5:30pm you all think those good thoughts of yours for me. I have to sing a song as part of the interview. She said it could be short and simple like "The Itsy Bitsy Spider"... Send me your song recommendations! (I personally think my version of Invisible Touch by Genesis would be killer, but might not be what they are looking for!)
yay! I'm happy!
(Side note, if I do get this offer, I would have to tell my boss that I was leaving to work at Gymboree. I'd have to tell her because we take her son there, and she would totally see me.. waa waa)

That's awesome!!! Annabelle and I love going to little gym (it's the same thing) and I've thought that it would be so much fun to work there when she's older! I hope you get it, that job will be a blast. You can tell the teachers have so much fun!!
You know that song that goes "skidamarinkydinkydink skidamarinkydoo...i love you"? That is Annabelle's favorite right now. So I recommend it. So I recommend it.

Um...something by the The Killers. Julia LOOOOOVES their stuff...it's catchy and fun.
P.S. I'm kind of half joking. At the girls' http://www.jwtumbles.com class they play all kinds of "grownup" music...The Killers, RHCP, Jack Johnson, etc...This is the greatest band in the world -- Ben Harper0

Aw! you're so kind! I took Music for Elem. Teachers in College and I was SO nervous when for one of our tests when we had to sing a song in front of the whole class, and teach the song as a lesson. I sang 5 little ducks. I was like sweating and shaking for weeks leading up to it, and now the thought doesn't bother me one bit!
I totally could have rocked the itsy bitsy spider, why did she have to use that as her example!0

(first verse taken from semi-popular lulliby...the rest is original)
 I see the moon
 The moon sees me
 Under the shade
 Of the old oak tree
 I see the stars
 Shine in the sky
 Over the clouds
 As they roll on by
 Then in the morning
 Up comes the sun
 We'll go outside
And we'll have some funI love to turn you on0

The Grand Ol' Duke of York!
The grand old duke of York
 He had ten thousand men
He marched them up to the top of the hill
And he marched them down again
And when they were up they were up
And when they were down they were down
And when they were only half-way up
They were neither up nor down!So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?0
