I remember hearing Jeff on Air America a few years ago saying either is fine, but he said A-ment is proper.

I could be wrong, but I believe that's what he said.

That's exactly what he said. I've always thought it was weird that EV says it the wrong way...maybe it's a joke with Jeff or something..it's gotta be.

It was mainly about his early struggles with Crohn's and how he learned to deal with the disease.

If you heard the Health Talk Webcast back in October, he referenced similar stories.

It wasn't a long interview, but was informative and helped get the word out about Crohn's and Colitis.

Thank you for posting the link to the interview. About Jeff, I remember him doing a station ID for WMMR in Philly in 2k5 and pronouncing his name A-ment.

    "Ay" or "ah"?

    Ay-ment, I believe

But Ed pronounces it like I always thought it was, which is "A-ment" - ie: stressing the second syllable, not the first. A flat "a" sound, not "ay" or "ah". Like the word "lament".

Yeah that's what confuses me. Stone also says Ay-ment on that Integral Naked interview. Actually he "corrects" the interviewer who was saying Ah-ment.

But then I hear Eddie saying Ah-ment...

I have the Philly interview where the DJ tells Jeff straight out that he always called him ah-ment, and didn't know his name was pronounced ay-ment until he showed up for the interview that afternoon. The DJ goes on to say, but Eddie always says ah-ment, and you can almost hear Jeff's smile, and he sighs and says, yes, he does, and that's cool, too.

So although there's so much about him that makes you want to say "Ah," it's ay-ment, and our Eddie is just being a sweet little, ball busting pain in the ass!!

Wouldn't be surprised if Eddie is pulling his chain because Jeff grew up Catholic (AH-men...t)

Yeah, there is a joke in Poland, that every catholic fan of Pearl Jam adds "T" after "Amen" in a prayer :).
