ok, but if all jokes aside, i believe that if someone is in relationship or married and decides to have sex with someone else they should talk to their other half and from doing so there are two options acceptance from another person or separation, i think it's only fair i would definitely would prefer that.

I could be wrong, but I see a some reasons why this thread took the turn it did.

First of all, AG made a personal statement and while making the statement he gave it human qualities - he and his wife. Had the statement been put out as a question or a poll, surely there would have been a debate, but I don't think all of the personal attacks would have been exchanged.

For example, had AG asked the question below, he wouldn't necessarily have had to defend his original post.

Second, stereotyping is not always a good idea. It is ignorant. Just because you (any man) or I (any woman) feel or think a certain way does not mean ALL men feel or ALL women feel the same. People evolve and become who they are based on personal, individual experiences.

AG, I wish you luck in your marriage. If you have your Dad in your life or another significant male figure - not some other horndog - go talk to him about your feelings. Those older guys can be a wealth of wisdom. I know because it worked for my husband and we are still rolling along after 25 years.

I like what you've said here. I do agree that discussing problems in this nature should always be first. Communication is everything.
How ELSE will the other person know what kind of sex they prefer?

you answered your own...the mods don't get 'pissed' it's that people decide to not abide the rules and get to name-calling, etc...that'sd their OWN choice, like many things. many, many people have enjoyed and participated in this thread...and it has been a great discussion. much of it is what i wished for the 'open relationship' thread...but that got far too moralistic, too soon...i should've gone the 'double-standard' route to really get it going....;)

btw - i think this has been a very FUN thread...and insightful, interesting, informastive..i guess it's all differing perspectives in what you find interesting. i don't think it backfired at all! as i said, i think this thread would've been 'done' in one page if left to the oh-so funny :rolleyes: premise of the first post. the ONLY reason it went on now for pages is because many of us decided *gasp* to discuss the topic at hand.

Oh, I thought people were getting too upset over this thread. I guess I was wrong! I like this thread too, but I don't want people to start disliking AG because he really is a nice guy. (of course him stating that women can't cheat, only guys can is very WRONG) Women can do anything!!
