Damn, thats impressive.
As much as I hate the term, Red Sox Nation is alive and strong. All that's sacred, comes from youth....dedications, naive and true.0 -
it is very impressive but when your the only team in town just saying ....jesus greets me looks just like me ....0
-
They are the only team in Boston playing a game in Cali vs. a team who isnt the only team in town.

True, but this will be the highest attended game in major league history breaking the record of 93,103 set on May 7, 1959 for a Dodgers Yankees exhibition game honoring Roy Campanella.
The dimensions for this game are going to be crazy:
The field likely will have the smallest dimensions for a game involving major league teams, with 192 feet to left field, 256 to the left field power alley, 200 to right field, 374 feet to center field and 352 feet to the right field power alley.
Net proceeds from the game will benefit the Dodgers' recently formed cancer-fighting charity, ThinkCure.- Busted down the pretext

In addition to the Sox being a big draw, the game is the first one to be played at the Coliseum since the early 1960s, and, many of the tickets were only $3, so, it's not just the Sox!0

Says the Boston Red Sox fan who went through what, 86 years of choking?
Boston fans are brutal. They ditched the team in the 70's and 80's, and now think they are the greatest fan base around. "Nation" is a myth, and propaganda. Much like Dave Matthews was huge with fraternity folk, following the Red Sox became the "cool" thing to do.0 -

The Dodgers, The Mets, St. Louis, The Angels, The Cubs, San Francisco, Philly, Detroit, and even Houston had higher attendances than Boston last year.
Even in '06 my White Sox had more people attending games than Boston.
Boston has a big heart, but its not a very big city and definitely not a center of the baseball world.0 -

smallest, and shittiest. Why the Sawx and Cubs hold onto these old crumbling facilities instead of building new, modern stadiums with better amenities for fans and players is beyond me. Fenway and Wrigley may be historic, but they're both dumps. Turn them into museams and give these players a major league facility...not a crumbling, tiny mosoleum.www.myspace.com/pitheory0
