When did they start with all the cursing in the coming attractions?
I understand that the movie you are about to see probably has cursing in it, but it hasn't always been the way it is now. I wonder if they think those are the scenes thatll really grab someones attention to go see that movie? Does that mene they are just targeting shallow humor based on cursing?

    Haha, the trailer for Step Brothers that was available on the Playstation store (before the movie came out) was really, really foul mouthed. Not that I care, but it just caught me off guard.

    those new trailers are called "red band" trailers because they are rated R, judd apatow made them popular when superbad came out

    i actually first noticed this when i went to see step brothers, i forget the actual movies they were previewing, but i said to my girlfriend, when did they start having curses in previews??

    i didn't know what they were called...but yes, they don't show trailers with offensive language at G or PG movies. well, i've not seen either in 20 years :p....but i am going to assume not in any case. point being, they show such trailers with films that are already rated R, maybe even PG-13?...b/c if you ARe in a theatre going to see a film already rated as such, you are the 'proper' audience for such language. i think it's a question of key scenes and/or an accurate portrayal of the film. no biggie in my mind.

    When we took our boys to see Ironman, I was surprised that there was a movie trailer for a REALLY scary horror movie. The type of dark thing to give a person nightmares. It bothered me (not only because I hate movies like that!) but because my little guy didn't need to see that...

    Technically Iron Man has lots of sci fi violence, and explosions and whatnot. Edit - what was Iron Man rated?
    What movie was the horror trailer for?
