Or Jesus.
And I mean the real Jesus, not one of 3 million men in cowboy hats in Southern California.fuck the public0 -
I'm not saying Brett was a bad quarterback, but he was nowhere close to the best QB's all time. In my original post, I said he was not as good as Payton, Brady or Elway in the past 20 years. I can't believe I forgot Montana and Aikman in that list as well.
Brett played tough, but he made way too many stupid mistakes to rank him near the top. And he had too many chances to win another Super Bowl.
I'll seperate that from his diva like behavior, which is why I don't like him.
As for Big Ben, as much as I hate the Steelers (and God knows I do), he is one of the most underrated players in the league today. I'd rather have a quarterback that takes the sack than one who throws as many picks as Brett did.
As for the MVP argument, he and Brady are tied if you count total number of league MVPs and Super Bowl MVPs together (3)I love my female wife...

Notice how just about every Quarterback you named has had one if not more of the best receivers in the league, Favre has had some solid receivers through the years but never a Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Marvin Harrison, Michael Irvin, etc. Your crazy is you dont consider him amongst the best quarterbacks of all time.Alpine Valley 2000

Once again anyone who hates Favre is a fucking moron. And to the Bears fans, I'm sure your happy he's done and you should, but just know you will never have a QB half as good as Favre!!!Alpine Valley 6/26/98, Alpine Valley 10/8/00, Champaign 4/23/03, Chicago 6/18/03, Alpine Valley 6/21/03, Grand Rapids 10/3/04

I like Favre for his toughness, kid like enthusiasm, and never give up attitude.
The only thing I totally disagree with is,the media saying he is the best of all time. Brady and Manning are already superior and that's not counting Unitas,Starr,Marino,Young,Montana,Bradshaw,Staubach,Tarkington etc.......
You get the idea.
If their was 1 game on the line, I wouldn't take Favre.
Just my opinion though.0 -

With the exception of Brady....have Favre ever had a Hall of Famer receivers?
who has Favre had to catch the ball; Freeman, Rison, Wycheck, others?
Plus he played in Green Bay...Marino broke record by playing half of his games in Miami, Aikman in Dallas, Montana in San Francisco...P.Manning in a frecking DOME...For Favre to break all these records in Green Bay is fucking incredible! No one ever looks at weather as being a factor in the game bu it is especislly if you play your career there.
You don't know football if you don't think Favre is an all-time Top 5 QB.PJ- 04/29/2003.06/24,25,27,28,30/2008.10/27,28,30,31/2009

Im a huge Bears fan and I do respect Brett Favre. He might be the best ever and he showed it to us twice a year. You are probably right....we will never have a qb half as good as favre. Just remember that you will need haver a defense, defensive player, or team half as good as the Bears are at there best. Packers will never touch the 85 Bears!!!You can turn your back on a person, but, never turn your back on a drug. Especially when it's waving a razor-sharp hunting knife in your eye.

That's from his retirement speech. I just like the quote."There was a band playing in my head, and I felt like getting high"0 -
Okay I have a good Favre story that most of you would have never heard.
It was probably like '97-'98 but Favre was the halftime guest at a Milwaukee Wave game (indoor soccer). The show was that he had kids from the crowd on the field and he had them each run a route and catch a pass. One of the kids happened to be on my soccer team. He was probably about 12 years old but Favre threw him a long pass and my friend made a great diving catch.
Brett ran down the field to him with his arms up and put the kid on his shoulders and carried him around jumping around as excited as if he just won his second superbowl. I haven't talked to the kid in a while but I'm sure that was one of the highlights of his life."There was a band playing in my head, and I felt like getting high"0
