    For me, anything by Prince, early Madonna (Holiday, Into the Groove, Like a Prayer, all killer party tunes), Pantera, Journey, Nine Inch nails.

    I stuck on ODB's Brooklyn Zoo last night at my house, not during a party, just while hammered and entertaining a handful of guests, and imitated the late great man word for word, note for note.

    In retrospect, an embarrassment.

    A friend of mine used to hold these semi-regular massive house parties and myself and a handful of friends would make sure the playlist included at least the bare essential Journey and Pantera songs, just to make sure no one got complacent with their dancing style :p There's nothing quite like the fade-out of Don't Stop Believing segueing into Fucking Hostile or something.

    The Prince and Nine Inch Nails is just what I'd like to hear, seems ideal party music for me, though others may disagree.

    They hardly reinvented the wheel but when you're drunk and full of energy, they are the best head-banging music ever because of the groove. Something sorely missing from most metal.
