Just eat some white chocolate and you will be fine. ;);)
    Hope you are okay.
I had one once last year. It lasted a few minutes, thought it was a heart attack at first. I think a lot of it is mental but what the hell do I know?

most people think they are heart attacks at first....it's a terrible feeling!!! :(

  • Thanks - yeah. I've had a few like these in my life before but they've always been 'mild'... which makes me question if that's even what they are and maybe I'm just a cry baby or a wuss, ya know? They are mild, but they are also there. They're real.. it'd be easy for me to just pass em off as me being an idiot.

mine started as "mild" bouts of confusion, heart skipping beats, nausea, etc. and i always just passed it off as having not had enough rest, food, etc.

they went away for a couple of years, and then came back suddenly during a stressful period in my life. i've been rushed to the hospital from work, from falling flat on my face in a parking lot and from blacking out in my kitchen. once i had a bunch of tests done and they realized it was an anxiety disorder they were able to treat the blackouts with medication.

seems a few others here have had similar experiences. i wouldn't just pass it off. fuck all that cry baby stuff you mentioned that people don't understand. too many people give people with anxiety problems a hard time. fuck them if they're not interested in understanding. do what you have to do to get better now and then you can hope to not have to deal with more serious attacks in the future. stay cool and be well. :)

that's true. i've had several that had syptoms very similar to the warning signs of a heart attack. very scary! ...the fact that the anxiety only builds doesn't help, either. terrible feeling, indeed.

Been having them on and off randomly for years, but earlier this year for about a month I was having them constantly, every day. They are vile things. An awful way to be. :(

The doctor discovered my blood pressure was very low and encouraged me to eat (because I wasn't) and to relax a little, meditate, which I did. And I also utilized some Valium I had in the house. :) Thankfully they have passed now.

I really hope you're feeling better soon love, just take it easy on yourself, and go to the doctor please. :)
    NOPE!!!

I believe that at least some are mental. The last bad one I had was a few years ago.I convinced myself I was dying, long story short,I actually fainted but was conscious as I went head first into the dogs water bowl.I wasn't out long...a couple seconds..but I couldn't hear for about a minute. That shit hurt my head.

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Yes...two of them, both after my Dad died. I thought for sure I was having a heart attack. It was from the stress of his sudden death and having to take on the complete responsibility of my mother. It must be horrible to suffer from them often.

Tonight... totally at random... really short of breath, heart racing... I had to run into my room, open the window, stick my head out and take some breaths outside in the cold... then I cried, and had to pull myself together for dinner... It was weird.

oh no, you are a middle aged woman going through menopause.

the first time I had one, I ended up in the hospital in 1996. if you drink coffee or drinks with caffeine, I would stop, unless you have lots of food in you. Vitamins help too. my panic attacks used to wake me up. Prozac cured that type but I went off of it...
Now I get overwhelmed and I feel like I'm going to faint. But at least I know what it is!

I had one panic attack that I can remember. Of course, I was getting chased by a bear at the time... so that might not qualify.

I've had a very mild one before. I don't even know what triggered it because I wasn't going through a particularly stressful time. All of a sudden my heart started to beat faster, I couldn't breathe, and this sudden trepidation...not sure what about though. That's the only one and it was about 2 years ago. I don't think I'd like to experience that again.

Yeah I think I have had a few in my life.
