I don't understand the people who get offended by multiple show attenders to solo Ed.

I live in Indy so it is an easy drive for me to go to Milwaukee and Chicago. So I am going to 3 shows, I EASILY got tickets to Milwaukee and Chicago 1 and was shut out for Chicago 2, well I gave up after 5 minutes.
I always travel to shows with extra tickets, A LOT of 10C members do, simply because at my age, I don't have a lot of friends who want to take off work and go see a concert, family time is much more important. And well, I have no choice I have to buy 2.
My point is, I love the music~Into The Wild, Pearl Jam, all of it, I love the music. I have money, I give a lot to charity, and a lot more to charity through Pearl Jam ie. The Beacon. I have nothing else to do, my work schedule allows me to travel whenever I want. And if you for one second you think that I came from money or don't work for every single thing I have, you are completely wrong.
That is why for me when I hear people complaining about anything 10C does, at this point I just have to laugh. You live in the United States of America, if you don't like the system, find a better one and change it. But seriously the blah blah blah I didn't get tickets, I was shut out, 10 C owes me. Seriously get a fu@king life!
At this point in my life, I just happen to choose pearl jam as my hobby and I do whatever I have to, to go see them and if he were staying in the midwest, I would have went to more shows, and laughed even harder at the haters because the people I meet and give tickets to, don't have a negative word to say about the band, Eddie or 10C and don't think they are deserved one damn thing.
That's my 2 cents."Please help me to help you, help yourself." EV0 -

I'm not seeing Ed this time around because I already did in vancouver but I would again if I was in the NE, for me 2 shows would be great but if others want to see him every single time, I don't see what the problem is.
Who gives you the right to call people mindless just because they enjoy seeing a particular act more than once?
If you dont have the money or the time to do so that sounds like a personal problem to me, not a reason to call others mindless though....
only a noob would see ed more than 4 times0 -

What's the motherfucking difference?
It's a damn concert.
Whether you see Eddie Vedder 47 times, or Bon Jovi 47 times, what fucking difference does it make?
I'll tell you...
NONE
It's the same damn thing.
I totally agree with you.you couldn't swing if you were hangin' from a palm tree in a hurricane.0 -

i'm just playing around...but seriously, you guys know the deal.
i'm not gonna tell anyone what to do, but more than 3 ed shows is excessive. i'm not bitter about the 10c presale (bet your ass if this happened for a pj show i would be) because i know i'll get in and all of the venues are small, and the seats will be fine regardless.
so...ya know....relax noobs0 -

This is crazy. It sucks when you don't get to see shows but it's so wonderful when you do and seeing them multiple times is just fantastic. I saw Eddie in L.A. this year and it was the best concert I've ever been too. I would have done anything to go to the second night there - it was hard not to. So that's why I would see his solo shows more then once. He makes it such a great experience and from what I've heard and read, each show seems be be unique in their own ways.
So I know when I see him both nights in Chicago, they're going to be equally spectacular and while I feel bad for other people not getting tickets, it's sure not going to ruin my experience0 -

i can totally understand seeing pearl jam 20 times on a tour(i just did 9 on the last one and would still love a few more)....but ed solo more than 3 times is a little insane in my humble opinion.
maybe you just enjoy a good concert from your favorite vocalist???0 -

i hope this is not directed towards me. like i said, cool that you got into more then one show. good for you. not mad or upset at that at all.
i dont bitch at the 10c ever. im stick up for them a lot!
but with small venues, and high demand, i think it would be better to limit the tickets to members through the club. you could still get tickets from TM.
with that being said, im not being negative to the band , eddie, or 10c.
have a good time at the shows, really. im happy for the people that got tickets, even multiple shows. but it does suck for those who are shut out, when the demand is so high, and tickests so few.Peace, Love.

It happened to me many times. Let's see......posters I got shut out of, the Vic I got shut out of. Look back and you won't see 1 post about me bitching to the people that got everything.
And any show you see more than once is exactly the same. Wether it's Pearl Jam or Ed there is no difference.
And in my opinion Ed shows are VERY RARE! Why not try to go to as many as you can. When's the next time Ed is going on tour by himself? Maybe never.http://www.fancorps.com/wishlistfoundation/view/25753|187003.jpg

I am not offended by those who do, but I think it is one of those cases where it might be best to do only one. There is such a limited amount of tickets. I think that it is probally good karma to let others go as well.Chicago 6/29/98 - Nashville 8/17/00 - Cleveland 4/25/03- Chicago 6/18/03

Yep...many will...from scalpers (whether its Stubnub or at the venue).
By NOT limiting show numbers for these small venues and this unique event, 10C is unwittingly going to give scalpers all kinds of opportunitys.
I got tix to my ONE show through 10Club...thanks for that.
If you're going to many or would...enjoy. But its not right. Period.0 -

Exactly.... I hope Ed will be touring solo again one day and maybe 10C will have reconsidered what is truely the right thing to do for ALL fans.0 -
I don't blame the people at all. I do think Ten Club should have limited it to one show per member since the venues are so small, but that's on them not on the die hard fans who want to see PJ and EV as often as possible.
I also think they should have done a lottery for the tickets rather than all the refreshing frustration of trying to get through to buy so few tickets--and I'm not bitter as I got tickets to DC night 2 and only wanted to go to one show. It was just a pain.
I think most people would have preferred it if they just had to register in the week before and then they just did a lottery to award chances to buy tickets.2000: Pittsburgh

I don't like people getting mad at me for seeing TOO MANY Ed shows. Sorry if you didn't get tickets but this conversation wouldn't be happening if you had tickets to more shows.
Hmmm..guess I'm in the 10C for more reasons..plus I thought/hoped it was made up largely of folks who would be really cool and have the same mentality as PJ...cheap tickets (well they were...but can't complain)...the old "Jamily" term (which was corny), anti-TM, etc. Good, largely caring lovers of PJ and Ed's music.
But like with everything its a Club made up of those who really care about themselves and others and those who don't give a damn about anyone else. And of course many in between. Life goes on and some horde...some give. Like some of the "givers" I've been lucky enough to meet from here!0 -
i don't think he's upset that he didn't get tickets? But rather annoyed that people would stalk a man for 2 weeks. (noobs)
Face it.... there is a ton of wacko's(fanboys) in this PJ community!!! At Msg while in line for a poster(wristband) dudes where buttin and pushin like fucking children!!! I was 2 seconds away from sucker punching these people.
I think following Eddie Vedder is a little excessive, but shit...if you have the loot and the time go right ahead.
Didn't try for any tickets. If he can't come see us in Philly....fuck em!! LOL
Have a great time everyonebeing so KiND.. tO LEt me RiDe!!!0
