    One can hope :)

One of my all time favourite movies, picked it up for ten bucks the other day...

"There was a FIREFIGHT" is the BEST line in that movie, plus when Billy Connelly has the six guns strapped to his chest...very good

Overall, I thought it was an OK movie. I knew at the time that it would eventually become a cult classic, but I'm not sure why. The theatrical stuff was what turned me away from really enjoying the movie -a little too over the top for my tastes.

That is part of the reason why I LOVE the movie so much, is the theatrics...

I agree, it can/does get a bit OTT, but all in all, a good movie with plenty of laughs (for me anyway :o )

    Music's alright too :)

A friend of mine introduced me to the first one, it was alright. It reminds me of Dogma a bit, both came out the same year too.

I thought Dogma was slightly better.

Bringing Out the Dead also came out that year, and that movie gets two thumbs up from me.

    Havent seen Dogma....

The thing I like about Boondock Saints is the mix of Religion and violence. When they say the family prayer before they kill someone, kind of contradictory, but has an impact.

Dogma was about 2 angels who came down to Earth on a mission to kill an abortion facility worker.

Tom Sizemore plays Nick Cage's psuedo-psychotic ambulance driver partner. Must see. Also has Ving Rhames and Patricia Arquette. Directed by Martin Scorcese.

Yeah they had big wings but only used in the opening scene and a few afterward but not much.

It was a Kevin Smith movie starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck as the angels, and Alanis Morrisette was God in the last scene. :p

Did you actually watch the movie??? Dogma was nothing at all like that. Your 2 angels, were in fact fallen angels from back from the great war in heaven, and were sentenced to life in hell on earth...or Wisconsin.

And the person trying to kill the abortion facility worker was in fact a demon, who was also a fallen angel, but was pissed at God for sending him down to hell with the others after the war because he refused to pick a side.

I liked the first one a lot too, but I'm kinda on the fence about them making another, as I assume they'll f%$# it up.
