    Ridiculous storylines, but highly entertaining.

Restaurant shoot-em-up guy makes his way to the hospital to finish off the manager he didn't get the first time? Very strange.

Meredith and Derrick. Will they? Won't they? It's not going to be answered any time soon (otherwise, where would the show have to go?), but Addison may go crazy trying to figure it out. Chief told her to get a grip; I think he'll lay down consequences if she doesn't.

Burke getting shot...didn't see that coming at all. Nice twist on the whole unethical heart transplant deal. I like the possibilities that creates for the next part of the epidsode: Denny dying in a controlled environment while his surgeon is dying in an operating room. That ought to give Cristina some perspective, too.

Izzy is way out of line and Bailey never should've assigned her to check on Denny. She needed Torres in there to smack her around and throw her out of dude's room. Terrible plot and very hard to believe, I think; I guess Shonda has to surprise us somehow. But no way any professional physician gets him/herself into that type of moral dilemma.

Keeping a brain-dead woman alive in order to harvest her fetus? Another terrible attempt at hospital theatrics. I suppose it's more believable than Izzy flatlining Denny to get him a new heart, but c'mon already.

I'll be watching the next part, but with a critical eye. Things were getting a little too far-fetched for me in tonight's hour.

i agree, i was debating wether i would watch the whole episode or not... i just find the Izzy thing waaaaay too unbelievable.. i mean, someone would eventually figure out that the tube had been cut .. tomorrow night should be interesting, but i hate when good tv shows start doing shit like that for ratings... so annoying!

I just go in with the mindset that its a soap opera type show before its a medical one.

You do know that they actually do that on occasion, right? It's not just some made up thing for the show.... it can happen in real life. Obviously it's exaggerated for TV sake. I think people over think this show too much to enjoy it. It's not supposed to be seriously saying "this is how it is... for real". It's basically a night-time soap opera.... meant solely to entertain. I take it for what it is.... it keeps me interested and the main story (Meridith and Derrick) is so ridiculous you can't help but be interested.

    Understandable.

But they said that Kendra was 12 weeks pregnant. By inference, they would be attempting to keep her alive long enough to have a healthy child--probably 20 weeks or more. That seems like an extremely long time to grow a fetus inside a vegetative mother.

I realize it is medically possible and has happened, but I can also understand why Addison, Derrick, and George all advised against that action. It's highly unlikely to have a 100% healthy newborn under those conditions.

That said, I have settled down and tried to remember it's all for entertainment value. Thanks for the reality check ;)

I love this show, and I agree--I was cringing about Izzy last night..it was way too melodramatic, I couldn't take it. She doesn't care about her medical career? Would she rather go back to the trailer park?!

Loved the Meredith/Derek drama too. "I love him sooo much" at the end... gosh..

    craziness..

couldn't believe the ending and can't wait for tonight!!

Hey, that's what I'm here for, babe! ;)

Yeah, and Kendra being only 12 weeks pregnant and them trying to keep her alive that long was what I meant by them exaggerating things. :)
