    I used to. And when I found out lobbing bread at them is interfering with the natural order of things, I've taken to lobbing small bits of tree bark at them.

    Considering they're used to people throwing food at them, the stupid birds think I'm doing the same and try to gobble the bits of bark up. Fools.

    So everybody wins- I have the pleasure of messing around with the birds, AND I'm not getting involved in the whole disrupting migratory patterns thing.

    It's the first thing I thought when I read it, so I was thinking how much I enjoy feeding the ducks and thinking this aint gonna be the thread for that and was pleasantly surprised! :D

    I thought bread is bad for them, it has no nutritional value for them what so ever..

    DUC does not recommend feeding ducks. It increases the chances of negative human/wildlife encounters, reduces the ducks foraging instincts and can make them dependent on people for food.

    My friend often refers to going to the loo as "feeding the penguins" - is there meaning behind this or just total silliness?
