So? What happened? Did you do it?Jeremy1012 wrote:
The weird thing is, even though I was only 5 when Van Basten retired early because of his troublesome ankle, I feel like I saw him play a lot during my childhood, presumably just highlight clips like that one and old games my dad had taped. He became my hero along with Ally McCoist from Rangers FC. I always used to want to be Van Basten when I played football with my brothers
Plus that overhead kick became my main aim in life, to replicate it Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
 And I don't feel right when you're gone away0

I've managed a few in my time, as have plenty of other people, but neither I, nor any professional footballer I've ever seen, has come close to the sheer awesomeness of that oneTrixieCat wrote:So? What happened? Did you do it?
We all tried to do this too, with varying degrees of failure

Oh, and *thread integrity* I bet Cantona would appreciate such dangerous flair "I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"0 "I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"0

Eric Cantona is awesome. Was an awesome footballer, and an awesome person, and still is He's my hero. He's my hero.
I was in the stand behind this goal watching, nearly 13 years ago, and I'll never forget seeing it.

I was reading some comments on his videos. One was comparing him with Ronaldo and the comment said, yeah Kaka is good but he can only kick forwards.Jeremy1012 wrote:Kaka is great but all these skillful players lack something.
