    Yeah man, how's it going?
  • Ok I think all the New Zealand Jammers should have some kind of signature that shows everybody on the board that we are from NZ and are proud jam fans.

    Example

    ~*~*~*~*~*OFFICIAL KIWI JAMMER No[insert number here]*~*~*~*~*~

Yep I'm just gonna go with it anyway. I don't think I deserve to be number 1 but since I'm the first to go through with it I might as well be. Copy and paste the signature into your signature block. You can leave your personal one but make sure you put the kiwi one above that.

So in my signature I get to say "~.~.~ Official Honorary Kiwi Jammer ~.~.~"? Or is it " ~*~*~Official Kiwi Jammer No4 (Honorary)~*~*~? Maybe the latter.

Ha Ha. That's the attitude. I can't wait for them either. I've been a fan sice 2003. But I'm the only one I know in person. I'm only 19 too. I bought a bootleg when I was 16 and now I'm hooked. I have all the albums. LATG. 3 bootlegs. Benroya Hall.

What did you come to NZ for? And when are you back?

I was living in Hawaii at the time (looooong story) so it was easy to get to, since all flights from Seattle at that time stopped over in Hawaii anyway. My ex-mother-in-law lives in Wellington and I thought there was no better time to take my 5 month old girl for a visit.. we were so fortunate to be there when they held the Beacons of Hope ceremony- I got to meet that little Australian girl that NZ gave a home to who had esentially been banished for having AIDS. What a dramatic moment.

I don't know when I can come back- I really do need to save some money to be able to do it, but it's definitely on my list- especially since I've got a good friend in Australia who can put me up if I go there- I've never been.
My daughter has gone once again since we were there and is going again in February with her dad- lucky little thing.

It was funny when I was there, because I had lived in Hawaii for a year and things are so slow there (compared to Seattle), so when I got to NZ I felt like everyone was running so fast- in such a big hurry all the time- I was afraid to go outside because I thought we were going to get run over- by the WALKING PEOPLE! It was a whoole different world, but I really was enchanted and feel like it could be my home if only it weren't so difficult to get residency there.

It's difficult to get residency here? Not if you ask Winston Peters! We'll all put in a good word for you! :)

\/ I'm not really into signatures, but since everyone else has been so enthusiastic, I feel I have to...

On a side Kiwi note (inspired by the Winston Peters comment), how do we all feel about the elections? I am a student and I think its great that student loans are getting the interest cut BUT... Labour annoys me. This needed to be done a long time ago, yet it gets brought out only at a time of potential voting crisis. They were talking about doing this at the elections 7 years ago but nothing has manifested until now.

We were quiite sucessful in terms of signatures, but not in achieving our goals. I heard it was due to a lack of venues rather than anything else

Lack of venues what a piss poor excuse. I really couldn't care less how many or big the venues were. I just want to see them live.

agreed, but they want a venue with seating, and until the vector arena is finished i cant think of anywhere that would do it.....

Otago PJ Fan here. Would be nice if they tour but bootlegs will have to do till then.

As for the election Labour > National. When National gets in I always get fucked over somehow.

Surely Auckland Town Hall would work with all of its seating? Not sure about venues in other cities.
