I've learned that Americans aren't all crazy and they didn't all vote for Bush :p

I've learned that some English people can be nice :p

I've learned that it's ignorant to assume somebody's ignorant simply cos they don't know something you presume everyone knows.

Mostly, believe it or not, I've learned to compromise! When I started posting here there was just no give... but I learned that just because somebody has a different opinion to mine does not make them wrong and does not make them a lesser person because of it :D
The Astoria??? Orgazmic!
Verona??? it's all surmountable
Dublin 23.08.06 "The beauty of Ireland, right there!"
Wembley? We all believe!
Copenhagen?? your light made us stars
Chicago 07? And love
What a different life
Had I not found this love with you

Yep, you don't have to respect or even necessarily accept... but tolerance is a must :)

that's probably the biggest thing I've gained since starting to post here

another would be learning how to read sarcasm into just plain text without any smileys....although with some people I'm never quite certain that they are sarcastic

we need to be allowed to add more than 5 smilies in each post. You used to be able to before but.....our rights were taken away!
I couldve used like 50 huge smiley faces in my vh1 rock honors review!

I gotcha. I thought you meant we needed more smilies depicting other newer emotions. Yeah, I remember the days before the ban....some posts were very colorful!

    Tolerance is a good one.

I've also learned that you just can't get through to some people, and that some poeple are so blinkered by their own world view that they can't even consider any other options.

When I joined here in '05, I had never heard of Youtube.

    Other Important lessons:

    1. Don't go to the Moving Train unless you know what the hell you are talking about

    2. Be respectful - and you will be treated in kind

    3. Don't look down on people with low post counts

    4. There are a lot of people who live for Pearl Jam posters.

    5. No Code and Yield are pretty good albums ;)
