    I honestly didn't know he had a new book. I enjoyed A Million Little Pieces, even if Oprah spanked him over it.

    I might just have to check it out, and then get off this board to have time to read it :p

    It really frustrates me that people judge him and don't even know the details. Yes, he made up some stuff ... but it's not as thought the entire book was a fabrication...small things were changed (i.e. the amount of time he was in jail).

    He's a damn good writer and I wish people would learn the truth behind his "lies".

    I personally thought that My Friend Leonard was a hundred times better than AMLP...and, a big part of it takes place in Chicago (where he lived)...you'll recognize alot of the places (i.e. Taco #2 or something)

    We read both in my book club and am planning on doing the latest.
    I loved My Friend Leonard. I was so pleased that he continued his story.
    I gave her a lambasting after that show. I was so mad at her whole "How dare anyone cross the Oprah" attitude.

    I *HATE* Oprah...and not solely because of this. She thinks she's the boss of the world. Did you dig MFL more than AMLP? And...how much did you love that he mentioned Maya (his wife)?

    P.S. My friend lives in NYC and walks dogs in "Jim's" building. They talk books and he thinks JF is a great guy. Makes me like JF even more!

    I just bought A Million Little Pieces. I haven't read it yet, but already read the first chapter. I don't care whether he made the whole thing up and sold it as truth or only "lied" about a few details. I think he's a great writer, and that's what counts for me.

    Of course, as I've said, I've only read the first chapter. So who knows, I might hate it.

    No, you'll love it. Seriously. It's awesome. He has a way with words. And be sure to pick up MFL straight away when you're done.

    It might take a while before I actually read it. I have at least eight other books I need to read first. I will get to it eventually.

    Off topic for a second: I found a used bookstore that has $1.00 books. I bought 7 new ones. LOL. My bookshelf is out of room.
