Ah so I've only been in Seattle about two years and the fun is coming to an end.
I love love love love love it here.
BUT my hubby to be got a job offer in Colorado -- Loveland area. So we're moving soon.
I've only been to Denver once.. to see Pearl Jam.
I didn't dig the area at all.
Anyone from CO? Advice on good areas? Stuff to do? Fill me in!
Thanks!

I took a trip all around colorado one summer, and I found the denver area to be the most un-interesting area I visited. I don't know where loveland is, but Boulder is a really cool town as far as I could tell (and I know many people who LOVE living in Boulder). I also went down south around CO Springs and out west near Aspen and Vail. I also thought that it wasn't someplace I would want to live, but I think if you can find a nice little niche in a good area it could be good.0

Loveland is near Ft.Collins. I've been finding a lot of really cool huge houses there. I'm thinking, how about switching from city life (which I totally love) to a more rural setting... change it up a bit. Maybe get a pygmy goat."I'll ride the wave where it takes me.."0

yes, the houses are HUGE all over the place down there. I visited people in their early 20s who were living in what I would consider a mansion!0 -

No joke! Check out this castle house!!! I couldn't afford the rent but considering how a little tiny 2 bedroom cottage over here would go for the same amount to buy... its amazing...

Cool, I'm sure we will be doing that as we love the outdoors.
How are the people in CO in general? Laid back? Cool?"I'll ride the wave where it takes me.."0 -

I just got back from there last week. Visited a good friend from the board. Everyone is real laid back. You'll like it a lot there and it seemed like every person I met was either passing through or originally from somewhere else. Plus the views are amazing and seeing a concert at Red Rocks was divine.- Busted down the pretext

Oh bummer. Well I'm going to go out and visit soon -- like 2-3 weeks. My hubby to be is leaving on Monday.
So sad.

oh how funny... a lot of out of towners. I'm hoping this gives me some time to figure out what I really want to do with my life. Relax and all that good stuff."I'll ride the wave where it takes me.."0 -

Once you get used to the thin air, you'll never want to move back to the city. Waking up and seeing the mountains and breathing in fresh air was a welcome change from Philly.- Busted down the pretext

Yea I bet. I'm such a city girl... this is going to be a big change. But hopefully a fun one."I'll ride the wave where it takes me.."0 -
I'm in Colorado (Monument) until the end of July. Thin air is right!
It takes some getting used to. But there's always something to do here.0 -

As you can see from my name, I am city girl as well. I think the hardest problems would be not seeing other people all the time, and having to transverese long distances in the car.0
