My cold is nearly gone but my voice is a bit croaky. I've a London gig on Wednesday, and one on Thursday. I'm not after gearhead tips. I want advice from anyone with a throat. So, AET-ers. Fix me!

I'm not a singer, but what about hot tea and honey. Usually helps me when I have a sore throat. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

Bourbon will knock out the phlegm.
Don't drink milk or intake any dairy if possible...not good for the vocal chords.
Pure local honey the day of.

I sang for years...remember me for your next album. :)
The dairy is a big thing.
It may be allergies??? If so, the local honey is the best. Don't go buying the cute little plastic teddy bear full of honey at the market. Get good, pure honey.
I have been taking a tsp every morning, trying to ward off the allergy season. Ok so far.
Break a leg at your gigs! :)

Nope, it's a bronchial thing. I often get bronchitis/pneumonia in April. Just fighting hard to prevent it, this year, at the chesty cough stage.

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
  • I've heard lemon juice works...or maybe lemonade if straight lemon juice is too much.
