After thinking about this for a while, I think I like Brendan's take better. It seems like he better focuses the emotion of the song. He might encourage the band to use Matt's skills better, too. More time signature changes and such.Chicago 8-23-090

How About someone completely new, as a completley new sound would be too fun and overdue! 0 0

Didn't they try and bring back Brendan for "Pearl Jam"...but he was already working on something?
Brendon brings out the best in the boys... IMO. They are at a point in their career where they are trying to stay relevant for as long as they can. Going back to Brendan would be a step in the right direction."Had my eyes peeled both wide open, and I got a glimpse...of my innocense, got back my inner sence, baby got it...still got it"0

Im pretty sure he produced "Love Reign Over Me"...and that was excellent0

I hope it's Brendan O' Brian... if not... well... what the fuck can you do about it!??????????? ... I meann what the &*(#^&$%&^ can you do about it???
the boys can actually produce it by themselves... anyway.."I had a false belief
I thought I came here to stay
 We're all just visiting
 All just breaking like waves.."

in terms of sound quality riot act and yield are standouts imo, especially riot act.
but, a change is as good as a holiday, it'll be interesting to see Brendon's take on the next offering.Athens, Greece: 2006/09/30

yeah but its not like Brenden O' Brien wrote the music/lyrics for those albums!! Don't hold him responsible for the quality of the work there, he's the man producing...
besides, the Incubus records have amazing sound as does revelations.
Heck, go listen to A Crow left of The Murder by Incubus, amazing sound, and overall an excellent 'production'!+--+-Official Upcoming Australasian Tour:Member #9-+--+0

i'm not denouncing O'Brien; some of my favorite PJ saw his brush. Just a pity he doesn't work with more "off beat" artists.Athens, Greece: 2006/09/30

I haven't bothered to memorise the name of the guy who produced Avocado because the production on that album was 'dead' to me. Obrien's return would be welcomed..'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'

I was expecting to see that you are 14 and were trying to be cool with the "you guys scare me" thing. I haven't heard many of these albums but I know that The Nightwatchman's album sounds fantastic. Similar to No Code it has depth and layering. I love the way Brendan records guitars and vocals.
Has Ed sounded better than he does on Vs. -> Yield and on Love Reign O'er Me? Just because you don't like Incubus, doesn't mean Brendan didn't produce their album well.
I think Adam Kasper did Into the Wild and I was happy with what he did on S/T, so I wouldn't be shocked if he was asked to do the next one. We shall see.'96 - 10/5

I'm happy to see that some people noticed the same thing: We need O'brien back!!!! Avocado production was sooo bad!!! I'm pretty Comatose would sound a million time better if O'brien was there. And the new Springsteen proved that O'brien can do the job!"You're not what you own"
