Chiqui, I finally saw Edward Scissorhands the other night on TV. I can see why people liked that movie.

This movie was even better than I expected. :)

The way it looked combined with the great cast and the music...it was completely successful I thought! :D

Saw it last night and pretty much thought it was terrible. For a Tim Burton movie there was very little imagination, just a lot of singing. It didn't look like a Tim Burton movie except for Depp looking like a grown up Edward Scissorhands. Johnny Depp is a great actor but he really needs to start spreading out a bit. This was the same character he always plays now, except he sings. The only part I enjoyed was the bit role Sascha Baron Cohen had. Save your money and just wait for the DVD.
Once in a while you can get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

You do know it was based on a Broadway musical, right?

Our small city (30 000) theater isn't getting it. It's horribly uncool.

We're having to wait for it too, which totally sucks - its one of my favorite musicals and I know all the words!
    R.i.p. Rigoberto Alpizar.
    R.i.p. My Dad - May 28, 2007
    R.i.p. Black Tail (cat) - Sept. 20, 2008

Jane, you'll probably like it. I was surprised at how well they managed with the music. :)

  • I am looking forward to seeing this this film, but I'm a little nervous, as I've heard so many negative reviews from people I know. Granted, it's a musical, which will turn many off to begin with, and it involves Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and Helena Bonham Carter, so will be a little offbeat. It's definitely not a film for everyone. I hope I enjoy it!
No time to be void or save up on life. You got to spend it all.

"Haven't you got poet, or something like that?"

"No, y'see, the trouble with poet is -how do you know it's deceased?"

(My favorite part is "A little Priest")

I have seen this movie 3 times now...it is SO good! I don't even mind that they cut a little bit out of the original musical!
