U.S.A Mens Basketball Team

Please tell me that in America, or any other country for that matter, you don't actually call this team The Dream Team.

i'm sick of watching the Australian Olympic coverage and hearing them say The Dream Team all the time.

to me the dream team is the O.G '92 Olympic team with the likes of Bird, Magic, Jordan, Barkley, Pippen, Drexler, Ewing, Malone, Mullin, Robinson, Stockton, and for some reason Laettner, who never really seemed to do anything when he got in the N.B.A.

So i really wish they would stop calling them The Dream Team. and i hope that it is just us that seem to be doing it.

and speaking of this U.S.A. team, i've only heard of the king, Kobes and Kidd. i really stopped following basketball back in 98.

    They're actually referring to them as the Redeem Team, as they havent won a major championship for a number of years...

    yeah, they got pantsed last Olympics and only got Bronze.

    but yeah every thing on 7 keeps showing "the Dream Team" and the hosts and all the commentators call them the dream team. i just heard Griggsy say "Redeem Team" for the 1st time just then.

    Nice Job Redeem Team!

    Almost too much Rudy "The Smooth Criminal" Fernandez though. At least he'll get a win over Kobe soon enough. :)

    I must say they are aweome though. Against Australia they just killed it. Hopefully we can get a few of our boys playing NBA so we can compete with them at the next Olympics. I reckon Patrick Mills will make NBA.

    This team played against MUCH tougher competition than the original Dream Team did, every team they played was a joke. The success of the original dream team is what has made international basketball so much better

    There is only one Dream Team and that is... SPAIN

    World Champions, and should have won Gold today if it wasn't for those fuckin' referees.

    The whole final was a farce, they let Team USA get away with walks, 3 in the key, fouls...plus let's not forget the fact that they are the only ones that don't get drug tested.

    Yeah right. Spain was fouling everyone on the redeem team and no one was calling anything. Then Kobe barely backs into a guy and it got called a foul. I'm sorry but that one where Chris Bosh went flying and THAT was a non-call? Don't blame the refs. Spain lost, USA won. Get over it.

    First of all the Olympics are played under FIBA rules where walking, sorry traveling ;-) are always called (unless you are Team USA) also the continuation baskets they let USA get away with during the whole tournament were a joke and then when Spain had a clear one the basket didn't count !!!

    Forgot to mention that Carmelo Anthony is the most arrogant and overrated player in history!!!
