Wonder if this lyric from DTE will prove haunting. Don't know why just crossed my mind today and it's just around the corner. Im not thinking end of the world or anything, but the way things rollin maybe the world as we know it now will be very different. It's Evolution BABY!

    That's not entirely true. That Mayan calendar ends at 2012, but there was a calendar before that one, and the world didn't end when that one did.

    nostradamus also said the world would end it 2012. it has something to do with the earths orbit aligning perfectly with the suns orbit, which is also in line with the center of the galaxy. don't quote me on that one, but i watched a show on either the discovery channel or history channel about it

    There is a good history channel documentary about the mayan calendar.

    Now don't quote me on this... but this is how I understood the documentary.

    I guess they had 2 calendars. A long calendar for counting great amounts of time and a short calendar for time of a life.

    The 2012 date was associated with the long calendar. It was broken into 5 different "periods". This is currently the 5th period and last period. It is set to end on December 21, 2012.
