So I need to get a new pair of running shoes and I saw someone at the gym today wearing a pair of Chuck Taylors while working out. Are these actually good shoes to work out in? Enough support, well priced, etc. These are technically basketball shoes so I guess they can't be that bad.

Anyone else use these to work out/run? Good? Bad?

I played basketball and skated in them in the 80's. I would not want to be active and run in these shoes though.

I run 4 to 5 times a week and I can tell you that those shoes are not made for running!

Sounds like the worst possible running shoes. Might as well run in flip flops. Nike Pegasus are the best running shoes, they are a reasonable price too.

I have pink ones and sometimes they make me feel like I have Don Martin (MAD mag) feet, they're kinda floppy...Can't walk too far in them, so running? I think I can hear your arches falling from here!

I would rather get a pair of Converse Chuck Norris and do some high kicks :D

Honestly these shoes are not made for running. They can do more harm than good. Have a look at some brands like New Balance, Asics.

do yourself a favor and don't run in converse.

only thing wors would be running on your barefeet over a bed of glass and hot coals mixed.

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Those SHORT 1960's basketball shorts are technically basketball shorts, but that doesn't mean the people should wear them.
