    my work might be offering paid leave to enable people to be Social Workers... i'd make an awesome Social Worker :)

    By Social Worker do you mean somebody who goes out and socialises for a job? :p

    Social Workers also get good retainers and handshake incentives... i.e. 3 grand if i stay in this area for 2 years, and a £1500 golden hello incentive.. topped off by a pay ranging between £28000 and £32000 (which goes a looong way up here :) )

    EDIT: A financial incentive scheme (£2,000) is payable to qualified Social Workers

    I start being an Interactive designer and developer in training mid-September.

    Yeah the training is web-based, but would eventually be unendorsed.

    The badges do not reference the 10c server. It'll be a surprise :D
