Have you ever taken SAM-e?

It can be taken to lift your mood or for osteoarthritis pain. I thought I would try it. The real reason is though that I do suffer from osteoarthritis (big time) in my neck.

Does it work? How are the side effects? I understand it can cause insomnia and I already suffer.

    I have heard of it but do not know anyone who has taken it...I myself am interested to see if it works, I guess u could call me a grump from time to time:) though I already have insomnia and don't want to make that worse. I hope someone who's tried it replies, I'd love to hear if it works.

    they say you should take it on an empty stomach (to be most effective) in the morning (if you have insomnia already)

    I found an article today, that it is prescribed in foreign countries. It is not approved by the FDA here. It normally takes 2-4 weeks to work.
