my wife makes this Buffalo Chicken dip that is fucking great!!!!

I can get the recipe later if you need it.....but its shredded chicken breast, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, ranch dressing, and Frank's Buffalo Sauce.....she bakes it, and serves it with either Tortillas or Frito Scoops.

That sounds good. Post the recipe when possible..

Nice choice for your favorite team btw. :D

Oh yes, and it has been a great season thus far, except for losing to those one dimensional Bears.:(:)

when you hit the postseason.....Chili is a must!!!!!

Two years ago when Louisville played up here it was on a Saturday night in early December...it was 10 degrees. Throw in some wind. We had this hot spicy sausage chili soup concoction that we were downing along with a bottle of brandy each. It was awesome. Stupid, but awesome. It was by far the coldest tailgate I've ever been to. And UL crushed us.

how many times is the foot actually used in US Football??? seriously... it's just used to punt or the odd field goal... i'd be interested to find out why its called 'football'... i say interested but i really couldnt care... i say couldnt care i mean i'd rather have my face shaved off and a salt mask put on in its place.

you also have to maintain footing to play. unlike soccer, you don't fall down and get to just hop back up. once the ball carrier hits the ground, play stops.

    i tried :)

    yeah, it makes no sense.

Nothing like a rugby kick for points from the sideline. Just a tad tougher then the old field goal in North America.

Always gotta be a rugby guy throwing his weight around... ;)

I may make it to that game, my buddy lives in Columbia. The fairgrounds are a phenominal place to tailgate. I always have fun.

Before they made all these Rule changes, no matter the game time we would be at the tailgate spot in Athens no later than 7:45 AM.

I know what you mean. I went to Athens for the South Carolina game this year and it was a lot of fun. Luckily we had a spot.

Tailgates at UGA are quite fun.

Well to be honest.........If a guy in the NFL caught the fade away in the corner of the endzone and then the kicker had to kick the extra point 20 yards back from the spot of the touchdown it would be quite a feat. Instead of wasting third down to get to the middle of the field for the "perfect" spot for the attempt. Better yet the old Doug Flutie dropkick through the uprights.

This coming from a guy who only dabbled in rugby in highschool. :)

I only getto go to the stadium and do it for a couple games a year now that i don't live in my teams hometown but i always try to make it. I went up to see a Jets game this year (the only game we have won against miami) and i'm going to go see the South Carolina play Florida on Nov 10th

Gamet time 7:45pm. Gotta be at the tailgate site no later then 10:30am

Usually bring a little grill for burgers and dogs. We go buy a ton of BBQ pork from this BBQ joint near buy and have BBQ pork sandwiches. Also we will get 100 wings to have too. Plus chips and dip.

Start off with bloody mary's in the morning, move to beer for the afternoon, and a few stiff liquor drinks before going into the game.

We are getting a stuffed gator to Burn at our tailgate spot this year for the Florida game.

    i'm pretty pumped about it.
    Woohoo!! Go Gamecocks!!

I think the Florida game is going to be crazy fun for tailgating. That and of course the Clemson game.

I was on ESPN a few years ago for our Tailgate setup at the Pats opening night game

it varies week to week with who comes and with what but at some point we've had

a crockpot with chili steak tips, burgers, dogs, sausage, chicken, steaks, ribs, etc maybe some pulled pork

tents, heaters, cases of handwarmers, a flat screen TV with a Direct TV dish

i love the tailgate... although last week with the 4 o'clock start it gave you way too much drinking time ;)

Last year we had a noon game and we got to the field at 8am. There was about 25 of us. We took up quite a bit of room, so people around us were getting pissy. All of a sudden my brother in law busts open a box of 30 live lobbies straight from Maine. There was a defeated hush all around us as he held up the first two in celebration of our 930am lobsters. By 10am, everyone around us was begging for scraps.

    nice work

are you the crew that i hung with a couple of years ago with the heated saki?

i usually am involved in the food for my crew... and i don't like lobster... so i never go that far

plus it would seem too messy?

we have little or no women in our crew so we keep it caveman style... plus we're a bunch of booze bags... so the food is secondary

i always take a couple of pregame immodium when at the stadium...

Hey, I hear ya... our tailgate always starts at 8am, regardless of kickoff. :D Those late kicks are bad fucking news when you've been drinking beer since 8:30am.

Detroit Lions season ticket holder for 9 years, so I love my tailgating, seeing as how with their lousy-ass teams over the years it's usually the highlight of the day. I tailgate over at Eastern Market with about 15 other guys and we're headquartered out of a 1970 Winnebago (think Cousin Eddie's "RV" from Christmas Vacation). We usually grill up burgers, brats, wings, kabobs, hot dogs... when it gets colder we'll usually have at least one Sunday where we bring 2-3 Crock-Pots of chili down... plenty of chips and crap like that. Lots of beer (Miller High Life, Stroh's, Black Label, Busch... no fancy beer allowed at our tailgate), Bloody Mary's and Bailey's/Kahlua for the morning coffee mixers... plenty of cheap booze (Mohawk Blackberry Brandy is a cold-weather staple) for shots. Any newbie to the tailgate has to bang down a shot of brandy as soon as they arrive... rotgut initiation. :D

We've also got some beanbags to throw, DirecTV dish with a TV inside... the guys next to us built a stripper pole (wood base and an aluminum pole and we drill it right into the asphalt to anchor it... safety first) 'cause there's a lot of girls that come through passing out free passes to the local establishments. Usually doesn't take much to get them on the pole... you should see the cash flying then!!!!

Anyone looking for a nice, easy tailgate dip... here's one you can whip up in like 10 minutes:

2 jars of jalapeno Cheez-Whiz (jar with the purple label/lid)
2 cans of Campbell's Bean w/ Bacon soup (the condensed stuff in the small can)
16 oz. tub of sour cream
(you can use the fat-free sour cream, but it can be watery... I recommend the reduced-fat at the minimum)
    Green onions, chopped

--Rinse and chop the green onions and set aside

--Empty the Cheez-Whiz into a microwaveable bowl and add a splash of milk; microwave for 20-30 seconds (just want to loosen it up)

-- Add 2 cans of soup, tub of sour cream, and green onions

-- Mix together and add chili powder, garlic powder, and/or cilantro if you want.

Tastes fine at room temperature, or you can keep it warm in a small crock-pot or fondue pot. If you do this, however, bear in mind that it'll tend to cook down a bit and get watery... I suggest keeping an extra jar of Cheez-Whiz on hand to add back in at the end to thicken.

I brought a 5 gallon jug of water for the lobster pot and cleanup...we just threw down a two-dollar tablecloth and threw the shells, etc on that and then chucked it in the dumpster when we were done. It was actually pretty easy. Never had saki at a tailgate, so I don't think it was me.

I love watching American football, but rugby was a more fun sport to play. I miss those days in college.

The dip is actually pretty good... now picture enjoying it while watching some 21-year old stripper that came through the lot to pass out t-shirts sliding down it in an effort to score about $35 in singles... :D It's not a complicated piece at all... just a small 3'x3'x6" square platform, and the pole assembles right in for easy transport. 4 brackets on each side and just anchor it down with some concrete screws.

I wish I knew how to pull pictures off of my cell phone. ;)
