I'm sorry that you are hurting and hope you feel better soon. I have suffered anxiety in the past and can understand the physical effects. Most of my anxiety was/is fear-based and once I learned to work through that pain, the anxiety diminished. There are still certain issues that bring moderate anxiety to me but I have learned to *stop.breathe.think.* about what was causing the anxiety and move toward a positive result.

I have posted that happiness comes from within and I don't find that to be an arrogant statement. Whether you can find that happiness on your own, through a therapist, psychiatrist, church....whatever it is... true freedom and happiness is there, you just have to seek it and truly want it.

I don't think that's fair.

Yes, people suffer from depression and other "negative" mental ailments. Understandable. However, there are innumerable negative threads on the AET, especially as of late, and someone simply wanted to create a thread where there would be no negative discussion or complaining, only positivity. The thread is not in the least bit arrogant. The OP just wanted to spread a little positivity, and I applaud her for that.


I heard The Tragically Hip's "Scared" on the radio just as I was texting my friend about being excited about summer and drinking beer on the patio, on the lake, at a ball game, around the bonfire (anywhere outdoors really). The Hip, of course, is the ultimate summer soundtrack and it just made me so much more excited and happy for spring and summer!!!
