Stop freeloading off Simon and get a job.
Or start an Irish People Living in England club.
    Work will set you free.

make it a White Women of Irish Origin Living in England please?
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

So, is it ok for her to start a group as long as she doesn't hold a beauty pageant or film awards show?
Or is it considered a hostile act of racism if she just posts a note on the cafe wall looking for people in the same situation?

    i dont really care. :)

this thread is about how to alleviate boredom, please dont add to her boredom by making her read stuff like this ;);) .... that was a joke (which i'm sure you'll re-arrange for me to make it sound better) :D

    I am giving her ideas.
It takes a lot of time and effort to print up fliers, pin them to walls in pubs and stuff. Then she has to field emails or set up a booth somewhere (outdoors) where she can get names and numbers and such.
Also, if she were to do a beauty pageant or a shepard's pie eating contest, this would alleviate even more boredom. And it wouldn't cost a dime. She could get the shepard's pies donated by the local fish-and-chips merchants. This can be done by making them feel guilty. And she can reserve a room in the library to hold it.
The beauty pageant can be staffed by a local beauty school and run at the school. I am sure they would donate their stage for such a cause.
This all takes up a LOT of time and no money at all.

    Do something interesting.
The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

don't worry, I'm not getting a pet. My sister's currently trying to find homes for hers... 2 down, 1 to go and not looking good :( and I know how much trouble she's had with going away and shit like that... I also know how much they cost. Much as I love animals, I'm wayyyyyyy too selfish for a pet.

Helen, I thought you were from Ireland? I ask just because I thought people in the dirty dirty were the only ones who 'reckon'.
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all
