for it to be 80 degrees in April, in Boston. I'm not ready to sweat yet!!!! Seriously we had like 3 days of spring and now it's summer already. I haaaate sweating. My clothes were all wet before I even got to the office today.

also, I would like to know why, when you watch the weather report on the local news, they are *always* happier the warmer it is. that makes absolutely zero sense to me. they act like it's a given that everyone on earth loves the heat and hates the cold. I've never understood that. I used to get so mad at the TV when I was a kid. last night they were like "maybe you can take a long lunch tomorrow and get out and enjoy the good weather." Why? so you can be soaked for the rest of the afternoon? I took long lunches last week when it was in the low 60s--perfect weather. sunny, nice breeze, not much sweating. when the forecast says 80, it says to me "time to head indoors!"

    try some deodorant :)

    and maybe fewer clothes
  • It is snowing here and I wore my toque this morning... bring on SUMMER!!! Sweating does suck though.. some people sweat more than others so I can appreciate that but I just want summer to come or at least spring. Not that it matters I can't go to the beach here.

    yeah there are sharks :).

I used to go to the beach religiously when I was in high school and college. I hardly ever go anymore because I can't wear bathing suits. I don't miss it much, and my skin is probably thanking me.

Well if you can't wear bathing suits then you're just going to the wrong beaches.

I know! I moved back up here because the heat in North Carolina was unbearable. Now I'm here and it's summer in april.

well I do like the warmer weather. But 80 is bit too warm. But I will take it over snow and cold weather.

can I ask why you don't like snow? a lot of people don't and I've always wondered why. I love it!

I was about to say be thankful you aren't still at Duke because it's been hotter than hell some days down here in the South....

that was actually a HUGE factor in my choosing a school, which was finally overriden by other factors :). it wasn't bad like november through april, but the summers were HORRENDOUS. I was bascially there for 3 summers. and august, september, and october trying to get to school and get to class was awful. I changed my clothes several times a day. I'd have to walk back and forth up and down this really long hilly road every day and in that heat it felt like running a marathon some days!

Well I don't mind it so much if I don't have any where to go. Otherwise it's a nuisance.

i love summer. anything to get it here more quickly is ok by me. :)
plus i never know what to wear in the spring so that season is always a bit of a nuisance to me....40 degree mornings and 30 degrees warmer by lunchtime...it's impossible! :p
