Wiltern hotel help

My wife and I may be making the trek out there, if the PJ gods allow us to get tix tomorrow. Where do you stay in LA? Is the Wiltern close to anything? Any help is appreciated.

    I guess I cant sponge any info from your post. I'll keep checking in, especially if we are able to get tix too.

    If anyone wants to split tix I could put you up, I live in Hollywood...

    But to your question..The Wiltern is on Western Ave and Wilshire..a decent priced hotel about 2 miles away...

    from what i recall... Wiltern isn't in the best place.... someone want to clarify who lives there.....

    i personally dont recommend staying NOWHERE near the wiltern! :eek:

    Yeah, the area around there isn't the greatest. It isn't horrible, but it definitely isn't ideal for tourists. There was a murder three blocks from the Wiltern back in September that spooked me because I used to park in the area of the murder for shows at the Wiltern.

    But, I'm hoping it was a one off. It's the only one I've heard of in the area in the last two years.

    If it was me, I wouldn't really want to stay in that area. I'd probably stay more west like near Westwood or even Santa Monica. There is a parking garage right next to the Wiltern that is well lit.

    theres ALWAYS 'stuff' going on right there! and i agree, stay elsewhere-hollywood/santa monica or even by the airport. sunset blvd best western is cool too. and that parking structure belongs to ralphs and charges ten bucks on show days!!!
