    SKATE OR DIE!!!!
    That site is cool...

Maybe someone here can help me remember the name of a game that is eluding me...drivin me nuts.
...probably mid-late 80's...it was a horizontal scrolling game, you played a kinda cyclops robot...you couldn't stop running, only slow down or speed up...jump over things, collect stuff. It was addictive as hell, and I haven't been able to remember the name for years.

restlesssoul - I was trying to remember the name of that game too...was looking on that site above. think it was a spin-off for the game I put the most quarters in, hands down - Super Sprint. After that, probably Gauntlet.

Adam's Family pinball in high school.

I could geek out on this topic forever....Karate Champ!
Anyone remember the Journey videogame? http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8242

I've gotta get more familiar with the simulators. I managed to get one for Space Harrier working on my old PC a while back

What was the name of that game with the Knights or something???
    Prince Valiant????
I loved! this guy one summer who played that game.
    le sigh.....

Oh yes they were! We used to call it the meat market our old hangout!!!
  • I used to love the arcade! It was called Frosty Putter. It was a mini golf and ice cream place also. I lived to play Mortal Kombat and NBA Jam!!!

We also had one in this shitty mall that was just an arcade. I remember playing X-Men and Ninja Turtles there. They used to have free play on Saturday mornings. You payed $10 and all games had unlimited play for 4 hours or something like that. Good times.

  • i was more partial to the games in the back of the pizza parlor. speaking of which, remember the days when they (pizza parlors) used to close on mondays?
I don't want to be hostile. I don't want to be dismal. But I don't want to rot in an apathetic existance either.

Yup! I used to do phones for a 'pizza parlor' 1-2 nights on the weekend as a kid... lol chef would always say... "I cant wait til Monday!" Okay Im really going to date myself... our local pizza parlour used to have individual jukeboxes at each table....
  • My local mall used to have an arcade named Tilt. They had all kinds of good shizz there, including WrestleFest, NBA Jam, MortalKombat (I can still remember being shocked the first time I saw a Fatality) and SFII amongst many others. Even prior to that I would get taken to Major Magic's which was this kid's place/party place where they served copious amounts of pizza and fountain drinks. That's where I honed my TMNT and Simpsons skills. Along with Ninja Gaiden.

Once it was time for Uni, well, there was Pinball Pete's. Hope that place is still around.

Pissed away heaps of money as a kid playing games like Pole Position, Popeye, Star Wars, Double Dragon, Gunsmoke, Rolling Thunder, Green Beret etc

While you guys were busy playing, we were checking you out.

haha. Lots of teenage guys in an arcade, girls checking them out, and they have no idea because they have been sucked into the game. The arcade was the one place that something other than girls win over a guy's mind.
