Do you still hang out with your childhood friends?

There's a group of about 8 of us that still keep in touch and meet up. We met 38 years ago.0

I still keep in contact with my childhood friends. I live pretty far from them now, but when I am home for the holidays, I usually try to get together with them. I'm sure that if we all still lived in the same area, we'd be close.0

I still feel close to a good amount of my friends from childhood, but I don't get to hang out with them that much because after college we all scattered through the country (and the world). But i keep in regular phone contact and meet up a few times per year.0

i also live far from any of my childhood friends.... some i see when i go home... i visited my best friend from childhood this summer... it was great to actually hang out instead of just emailing or talking.0

Absolutely, my best friend Kathy, still keep in touch with her. I’ve known her for 38 years. When I talk to her, it’s as though we’re 7 years old again. I never feel uncomfortable around her, even if we haven’t necessarily seen each other in a while, we always go back to that same old kinship.
And I also still see those I’ve known since I was 15 or so, hanging out in high school – we’re still all connected in one way or the other – and always know what’s going on in each other’s lives.Don't come closer or I'll have to go0 -
Yep I met my best friends in Kindergarten we were 4 & 5...we still hang out the three caballeros!IF YOU WANT A PLATE OF MY BEEF SWELLINGTON, YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO PAY THE COVERCHARGE.0

Funny how bonds you make when you're young never seem to break. My parents don't seem to have this going.. guess I'm lucky to have such good friends.
not to be rude, but have you ever left home? i ask, because the cases of this i have seen over time are either ones who never went away to school, or still live in the town they grew up in.I don't want to be hostile. I don't want to be dismal. But I don't want to rot in an apathetic existance either.0 -

Most of all my friends are all from Grade school. Some since 1st grade and others from 3rd. We all still hang out with our husbands and wives and children. Great people.
Some have gone the successful route, and some have not. Some spend time with the family on weekends and some are at the bar every sat and sun.
Different folks and different strokes.Get em a Body Bag Yeeeeeaaaaa!

i'm 31 and my best friend is still my best friend from when i was 5. my core group of closest friends are still my high school friends. i live @2 hours away from all of them but still see them all the time. i feel like it's rare that we've stayed so close - my other friends (work, college, etc) don't seem to have that. another reason to love scranton.0

Well, I'm only 21, but I've gone through every stage of school/college with the same best friend I've had since I was 4.Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.0

No. For whatever reason we drift apart. I don't talk to anyone from high school or college. I rarely see friends from when I was little.
My current best friends are all people I've met within the last 10 years or so. People from previous jobs, etc.DAL-7/5/98,10/17/00,6/9/03,11/15/13

I don't see any of my childhood friends (except my sister). I only miss one of two of them anyway, but I moved so many times that our lives are quite different.
Do you still live in the town you lived in as a child?&&&&&&&&&&&&&&0 -

Yep. I've got most of my friends still that I met in intramural soccer and in Tee-ball.
I lose a friends here and there due to tight marriages/death/or personality problems, but the main core is still going strong.NERDS!0 -
I don't even have any high school friends around me...
The best friend I have hasn't even known me for five years...I just kind of come and go with others I guess. The last couple of years it's kind of started to eat at me on the inside.0 -
I'm 21 now and I've known three of my best friends since we were three. I started 'hanging out' with my best friend when we were 10, but I knew him from before.THANK YOU, LOSTDAWG!
