Something really weird is going on with me.

I felt like earthquakes were happening. Just before I woke up. Then when I woke up I felt earthquakes again in my feet. Has anyone heard of that. I live in New York. We're not having earthquakes.

    this happened to me once, and i have heard of a few other cases, it feels like someone is violently banging your feet up and down and you cannot control it. i think its a sympton of sleep paralysis and/or night terrors when the brain is essentially sending incorrect signals to the body because it is awake while the body is still "asleep".

    just googled it and came up with this, sound familiar?. SP=sleep paralysis. oh well, consider yourself lucky most people dont get to experience this crazy shit.

    In a lot of my episodes, I experience a violent shaking. In my mind it is not me shaking, but the house is. I fell asleep on the couch one night and I was awoken by an earthquake. It was not a real earthquake, but yet another episode of SP. I did not immediately know that. I tried to call out to my wife who was upstairs, but I could only get out an unformed moan. The room was shaking violently and there was a loud humming that actually felt like my eardrums were going to burst. After a solid minute, I tried to call out to my wife again and let out another strange shriek. It actually embarrassed me, because I just figured out it was SP. Shortly after realizing this the control of my body returned.

    God damn, all these sleep paralysis threads that pop up always scare the shit out of me. It's never just, "I couldn't move, it was strange." It's always like, "I couldn't move and felt like some demonic being was possessing me." Freaks me out because I feel like it could happen to me any time now...

    it does suck majorly when it happens...for me it's that i can't move and some evil being is choking me and i'm gasping for breath.

    i hope that it never happens to you...I wouldn't wish it on anyone :(


    night terrors are yucky too...cause when those happen i do actually move, and i do things like claw at my skin, pull the sheets and bedding off the bed, throw small stuff across the room, get out of bed and start clawing at the window blinds.... i've been know to walk around a little bit too

    thank goodness this stuff doesn't happen alot...or i'd never, ever sleep...
