oh did anyone go to the WM3 gig??

Not I, I thought about it but the band line-up looked shite. Good to hear Life Wasted was on C4 though...sucks it had a Paris Hilton tag on it.

Start paying your visa cards off - the concert is a go!

How do i know? The band has confirmed their accomodation in Auckland.

Here is what I think will happen

Vector will open in September - with a concert from Split Enz (not yet confirmed).

Pearl Jam will play in Auckland in early November.

If you dont believe me fine - but I did bring the news of the vector arena show and the issues with steel to this message board, and I do have a number of good sources. I wont be trying to justify myself, I feel no need to, but what I have said so far has proved pretty right

    A solitary YAY
Just For Today, I Am Free...
  • I got this from the rock after I requested Life Wasted.

    "G'Day Brendan,

The reason we haven't chucked "Life Wasted" on is because "World Wide Suicide" is still going particularly well in NZ. "World Wide Suicide" didn't even make it in to the top 10 on Active Rock airplayin the U.S, which is probably why they've released a second single two months after the first.

    Hope this helps... "
  • i think by july/august we should have some definitive news on pearl jam playing here

  • Hey i just checked out the trade me things for PJ,

Ive got a few items which are signed by the band, although i would never ever dream of selling them, i would be very curious to see what sort of money they could pull in...

    I have the 10c 99, 00, 01, 02 Vinals (bad spelling) signed by Eddie,

and also have the Latest record signed by Ed, Mike, Stone & jeff...
Although that one has my name on it, so i doubt anyone would want it...
I also have Mike's pick from the the last Aussie tour too.,..

Just on a curiousity basis... what sort of money do you think they could pull... keeping in mind that these items are in Mint condition and framed...

    ***NOT FOR SALE***

That poster is sweet, but at 30 bucks its going past my no job money limit. Its not me bidding on that poster as I have the exact same one staring at me from behind the computer, but good luck to you guys bidding on it!

Joey, I wouldnt have a clue what theyd fetch in an auction but im sure there'd be huge money being tossed at it. Me personally, unless I got the signature ive never seen the attraction of buying someone elses thing they got signed. Unless you got em to sign it to Dean. (why didnt you get it signed Dean and not Joe....) And in other news, I just bought a ukelele so if you need a uke for that band of yours when youre back...

Speaking of auctions and while im bored, anyone see the auction for dinner with Stone and his wife? I think it was at 25,000 US dollars last I saw.
