smallest, and shittiest. Why the Sawx and Cubs hold onto these old crumbling facilities instead of building new, modern stadiums with better amenities for fans and players is beyond me. Fenway and Wrigley may be historic, but they're both dumps. Turn them into museams and give these players a major league facility...not a crumbling, tiny mosoleum.

Well when the Cubs win a World Series maybe then they'll bitch for a new stadium. As for the Sox, I'd like to see a new stadium but it needs to be in the right spot with various tranportation options.

If not leave Fenway right where it is and make improvements as the years go by.

    You from Mars?

As a baseball team, the Red Sox are more popular than ever, more popular than the Yankees. The reason everyone wears Yankee gear is because their logo has an NY, they are representing the city, not because they are fans of the YANKEES. Two completely different things. Everyone wants to be associated with NY. Its just the way it is.

People dont wear Sox gear to "represent" Boston, they wear it because they are sox fans.

what do you want in a stadium, a slidy shute and a pool? They are both fine the way they are. Other than more comfortable seats, they are fine. You should be at a game to watch the game, not gallavant around the concourse. all that bullshit, thats for "casual fans". i hate missing a pitch at a baseball game. i paid good money to see everything, not have a very clean papa ginos and a starbucks in the concourse.

and plus the red sox encompass virtually all of new england and that's six states and all over the country there are people from those states. i think the yankees popularity is more of a trendy thing for people to follow, especially with the names. when the yankees were winning four titles from 1996-2000, you could show up day of most games and get a seat but now that they have names like alex rodriguez, that won't happen unless you're willing to shell out money to the scalpers or stubhub etc

  • So...wait a minute. 100,000+ for an exhibition in DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, a place that fills up with every USC game (80,000) or so LA Fans....and the reason for the number of people has more to do with....The Red Sox? Not the Dodgers, Bruin, or USC fans of Los Angeles who consistently fill up The Rose Bowl, Dodger Stadium, AND The Coliseum on a consistent basis? (90,000, 58,000, 85,000 seats)

I'd say this is just the large shadow of ego that the East Coast likes to emit on the rest of the world...Guys, seriously, Boston and New York are not the center of the universe.

This is an EVENT in Los Angeles, 50th Dodger anniversary in L.A., first game at the Coliseum in 50 years, it would have filled up if the Dodgers were playing the Angels. Please, for the sake of the 49 other states, get over yourselves Red Sox fans.

P.S. I can't wait to see Red Sox fans try and pull that crap they do with Yankee/Angel fans in downtown Los Angeles. Some advice, we don't like loud mouths from the East Coast. :)

PSS. Many Dodger fans are Raider fans...just to give you a heads up. Have a fun day in Los Angeles!

Dont be jealous. We arent afraid either. Raider fans are morons who paint themselves up like Skelator. What normal person would want to fight someone over a sporting event? Thats a mental patient (Boston and NY are not excluded). Who is going to take anything they have to say seriously.

And yes, Boston and NY are the center of the U.S. Show some respect son.

In the words of Andy Milonakis, the Raiders are gay, USC is gay, the Dodgers are gay, the Lakers are gay, and so are the Yankees.

What kind of crap do Red Sox fans try to pull in downtown L.A? Poke fun of the pathetic Dodgers? Its deserved.
