One song says it all for me... "Black".

my mom died last summer. my sister and i each wanted to pick a song to play after we spoke during the service. during my talk, i described the bond that we had shared through music. she was a huge neil young fan, but never got to see him live. the first time i went to bridge school (in 2003), i called her during neil's set so she could hear the show. she always talked about how much that meant to her.

so naturally, my song choice was Long Road. we even put a few lines from the song on the front of the service program.
  • I'd put Guaranteed and Rise on a loop...

What's the song that Ed sings with the choir? Is it Long Road? That's a good rendition.

LBC, Long Road and Betterman..... Personally I dig LBC the most on that.

Molo Sessions, it was the Walmer High School Choir
Thats a lovely accent you have. New Jersey?

For what it's worth, I want "I gather speed from you fucking with me" on my gravestone.

  • i always said to my bro and my girl i want immortality at my funeral but long road is a nice sound too to leave this world.

I've always told my better half and my family that Pearl Jam should be played at my wake and that will never change. This year unfortunately my father passed away and along with some of his own favorite songs I included "MOTH" and "Comeback" on the disc that we played at his wake.

    Peace,

    RM

one of my very close friends passed away a few years ago and was set to get Rearviewmirror(g.h's) for Christmas. but sadly passed away unexpectedly on the 21st dec.
at the funeral his family decided to play betterman and black.
fitted nicely and as a big PJ fan myself it will always be with me
    Why Betterman?
