Obama / Clinton Debate in Austin

I just saw on WFAA 8 (local news) out of Austin Tx:

The Debate will be held at UT Campus in Austin, but here's the kicker:

The Campus holds 50,000 students and the DNC will only allow 100 tickets to the public for "Security" purposes.

Does this mean a threat has been made?

You all know I am not an Obama Supporter, but I would never wish any ill will on the man.

This is very concerning to me...........

    its easier to feed bullshit to 100 people... if they have that place filled with real people... people would than get suspicious on the fact that...they both talk about change but dont explain anything

    whats also funny and amusing..is.. if you are visiting a school's campus... wouldnt you want the community to be there??? isnt this what traveling around is all about :)

    also, he cancelled his Rally that was planned in Austin, that makes me think something is seriously wrong.

    and when I say he cancelled his Rally I mean the Rally will still take place but he has chosen not to be present now, when it was already confirmed he would be there.

    I doubt that there has been any threats... Between media, donors, picked supporters/groups, DNC people, national/state/local politicians, school officials, etc., there probably aren't that many seats that are left.

    Before anyone gets in a lather about the remaining tickets, I think you should find how many seats the venue holds. You say the campus holds 50,000 students. Aren't you telling us how many students are on the campus? That doesn't tell us how many people can fit in the actual venue.

    It would also be good to clarify who is receiving the tickets not earmarked for the DNC. I would suspect it might be a case that the university gets those tickets and the 100 you are talking about get to have the remaining 100.

    Mike Gravel will be in New York City all week holding conferences and talking with citizens... and you dont need an invitation and there are no security risks, because Mike Gravel understands this country isn't ever safe...this is part of the deal you make by living in what was a free country..

    i dont think people are aware most of the people holding signs in those crowds are payed byt he money corporations donate..they are extras.
