nothing left now but to flip over to Fox and hear Hannity and Morris declare McCain the overwhelming winner."You're one of the few Red Sox fans I don't mind." - Newch91

McCain didn't go after Ayers, Wright ...
Obama didn't need to do anytihng but stay on message ... as stated, a draw is a win at this point.
I'd like to hear what Fox News and MSNBC thinks about this debate?
A draw both comfortable in what they had to say. Much different than the VP debate.

Agreed. He needed to whip up on Obama and I don't think he did it. A draw is a loss for him.I'll ride the wave where it takes me.0 -
That was incredible underwhelming. From the tone of it alone, you would never know the country was on the verge of going broke, entangled in two wars, and practically tearing itself apart along the lines of Democrat and Republican in the last decade.
Strange. Very strange.
I began uncertain of whether or not my support would end up before beginning to favor Obama.
After tonight, I really think I've lost any real enthusiasm I had for Obama, but not because of McCain's keen prowess as a debater--far from it.
Both candidates were just incredibly underwhelming tonight.0 -
Well, that was a waste of 90 minutes. Good thing there's one more debate for these two to go through the motions during. :rolleyes:My Pearl Jam Photos

I didn't like how McCain tried to joke about too much. Maybe a stress release.

I mean the videos of them cutting their own people's heads off, I'm not even considering westerners yet. Is the USA and Isreal really worse then them? We are talking about Afghanistan and Iraq here, right?BRING BACK THE WHALE0 -

a bit disappointed with the debate tonight.
I did not think that they answered the questions- they just ran around the questions. Reiterating things that they have said before- nothing really new- and I was expecting to hear more- especially with how the markets are now.
Overall- I think Obama squeaked out McCain. But not happy with either.
But McCain's pacing drove me crazy.0 -

I think that calling that debate a town hall format debate shows how pitiful our politics are"Music, for me, was fucking heroin." eV (nothing Ed has said is more true for me personally than this quote)
