Impressive, but not the best ever. More luck and balance than skill. Growing up I watched guys like Denis Savard, Gretzky, Mario, Kurri, etc do stuff like that virtually every other game. There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.0

In college, my friends and I spoke in a sarcastic, backwards language. For instance, my friend's name was Will...so we called him Won't. Or the LA Lakers' coach is Phil Jackson...so we called Empty Jill-daugther. It's really quite simple, just think of the word phonetically, break it down into smaller words if necessary, and think of opposites of those words. Auburn (Aww-burn) = Ick-chill. Since we're from the midwest, we used to call Champaign, IL (home of U of I) Boones Farm, IL. It makes for some interesting names and can actually be turned into a drinking game.
Anyways, I went to the University of Iowa, so I was a Hawkeye. Hence, EagleEar. Are they polar opposites...no. We did alot of drugs too.Got an army, fact I got two. That's ok man, cause I love money!0

I am glad I started this. I never really stopped to realize that the fans here are from all over the earth. It's cool to see people realize that someone is a lost friend from a concert. There are truely some great stories here. Nice work people!!!!
 Thanks a whole lot.COYS!0

My son, who's a big hockey fan, sent me that link. He's a Penguins fan, but has been going to see the Capitals this season. He says Ovechkin is amazing. But he definitely would agree with you about the others.
Cool about you being in a Stones tribute band.0

i was going to go with "it doesn't get eddie vedder than this" but that was too long and cheesy. then i tried "vedderman" and "vedder" but surprisingly those were taken. "stoned and damented" came to me...i think you can figure out the play on words.0

markymark550 is my username for just about everything I do online...message boards, email, online stores, etc. I already had used that name before I stumbled my way to this wonderful place, so why should I have deviated from the norm?
The "inspiration" for the name is that my name is Mark and everyone, friend or foe, calls me markymark at some point. Just the way it goes with this name I guess, so I chose markymark. The first time I tried to register on a site, markymark was already taken, so I randomly typed in numbers at the end until the name was accepted, thus the 550. Pretty boring, I know.0

I have decided to settle on Evil Beaver as my screen name for everything I do online. I am as die hard about the Oregon State Beavers as I am Pearl Jam. The old OSU mascot had a smiling Beaver http://www.sportslogos.net/logo.php?id=5048 that just wasn't ferocious enough, so I decided there needed to be some evil beavers out there. And it's a play on words vs Eager Beaver.
I have also existed in cyberspace as Portland Jammer, Release26me and Troy of Cressia (a Dark Tower Reference) I almost started a production company called Evil Beaver Productions for documentary films but I wasn't sure anyone would take me seriously.
 What a cool thread.0

I didn't want to be completely cheesy and be "better-man" (and also i'm not exactly sure who or why i would want to be better than)...
I do political communication so i often serve as a spokesperson...
 thus: spokes-man was born0

I couldn't think of anything PJ-related that wasn't already taken so I decided to settle for a Neil Young reference instead. "After The Goldrush" is one of my all time favourite albums“Do not postpone happiness”
 (Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)
“Put yer good money on the sunrise”

nothing to do with Pearl Jam. Just a nickname I gave my horse quite a few years ago. She was a firey, red-headed mare. Small in stature but big in spirit, heart, opinion and tenacity. Great gal....miss her a lot....she's been gone almost a year.believe it or not, we don't "need" anything. that is only the spoiled brat in us trying to fill some temporary solution to an emptyness that does not exist.

My 2nd PJ show was Philly 10/03/05. Had 3 fellow Jammers with me. A great friend from Arkansas, my brother came from Missouri and his friend came from Arizona. We tailgated, partied with some awesome people and witnessed a phenomenal show.
In that show they played one of the best versions of Alive I have ever witnessed. After it was over all Ed said was "indeed".
 It has been our little Pearl Jam catch phrase ever since.V.F.C St. Louis 10/04 * Philly 10/05 * Camden I & II 05/06 * DC 05/06 * Lollapalooza 08/07 * MSG I & II 06/080
