Question for conservatives - Opinion of Karl Rove?

I can't see how that guy has any respect from the conservative crowd at all. In large part to his political strategy, and the administration's desire to put politics over governing, the democrats are now on the verge of having the whitehouse, a super majority in the senate, and a large majority in the house. In a handful of short years, this guy almost single handily blew up the republican party.
Opinions of these people aside, but Tom Delay and Newt Gingrich and that crowd have to be ready to kill Rove, because he basically pissed away all of the years of work that they did in building the party.

This conservative is no Karl Rove fan.
Neo-cons hijacked the conservative movement through their own piety.
We're payin' the price, no doubt.
The GOP did a great job with selling the "Contract with America" in the mid 90's. And not many people can argue with the overall ideas of that "contract".
The success in those mid-terms helped elect and install republicans in many key federal and state positions. Things were going great for them, until the ideologically whacked out neo-cons grabbed control of the party and drove if off the cliff.
The republicans grew their control based on both anti-clinton/anti-liberal attacks, but also with proposing positive change. Now the democrats are following suit, thanks in large part to the complete disaster that is the Bush administration.
