Racism certainly exists I am not denying that, but you cant say it hasnt gotten better when just 50 years ago there was more or less a black america and white america living in separate societies. Not to mention that there are millions of white kids whose heros and people they look up to in music or sports or wherever, are african americans.

For the most part this board is above stuff like that. Most of the people that I used to disagree with seemed to be respectable people with respectable opinions, they just had a different viewpoint, which I think is good. I can understand your frustration based on this thread, but I do think we have and still are moving forward with regards to race. Its not perfect by any means, but it is better.

I'm not sure if I fully understand this, "pop culture" is what's popular/contemporary yeah? It's mainstream. So modern america is perhaps very apathetic? indifferent? selfish? so the popular music refelects that?
