In my opinion, Nader's shit is smelling much better than Obama's at this point.

The thing is no one has said Obama is perfect. He's not much better than Hillary in my book. But Nader is no alternative either. I'm sick of the Nader posturing like he is a political messiah is all.

And now you must understand why we continue to elect leaders who are worthless. The media says crap is all that is 'viable'. So pick your flavor of crap and get behind it. Progress!

I hear you...but I don't blame the media...I blame the system...of which we are all a part of...

if it were up to the media, Hillary would be our choice...people are choosing Obama...he's winning...he's winning because of his style and is message...

for me, he presents something new, an unknown...and the man can speak...if anything, he has that going for him...he's smooooooth....and after listening to the tard in the whitehouse for the past 7+ years, his ability to communicate is refreshing...

yeah, yeah...he's all talk...well, who isn't...? if he can sit down and smooze the world...I say hooray...

Doesn't take away from a single point mentioned. But don't address those.

And also Nader wouldn't be running if the Dems weren't pulling shit like this constantly

LOL...I addressed those in a previous post. you're a funny guy.
    Be excellent to each other

Not like I had hoped. Much of what was in the article has remained unaddressed in this thread. I guess I thought some of this might surprise or give cause for concern with some of you. But I guess it's more about picking a side and winning instead of caring about how our country is being ran.

    I'm a girl.

  • Obama's shit never had a chance with you

How did you come to this conclusion? I can't say it enough....I'm voting on the issues and records.

I think it would be MORE interesting to see a topic that would explain why anyone should vote for McCain, Nader, or Hillary instead of a plethora of topics why Obama is so terrible, smells bad etc.

All I hear in that first post is negative about Obama. Great, I get it. He's not the pretty picture on the mantle. If you look hard enough, there are negatives about every candidate. Tell me positive about who you like. By posting all this type of stuff, all I'm hearing is what is wrong with one person. Tell me what's right about another.

Otherwise, you aren't really pursuading anyone to do anything.

Where has Nader said he's a 'politicial messiah'? The perception of him being legendary public servant has taken more hits because of him running, actually. But he has been quoted as saying that how he is viewed doesn't matter because the issues he's going up against are more important and need to be addressed in the mainstream.

Now, any opinion about the OP?

Nader is not all talk. I'm sure you're aware of his body of work. Any opinion about the points made in the OP?

I can't belive how many here are exactly like the conservatives were in 04. Ignore the issues and support your side at all costs. I thought I was going to see some real discourse and concern....a real sense of urgency to push real progress and make this election about what we the people want to see happen in this country. Nope just more of the same. Excuses.

I'm getting the feeling you guys would prefer if none of this about Obama's record ever saw daylight.

I apologize. You;re a funny girl...lol. kidding. Seriously though, that was like a really long article and i dont really want to read the whole thing but I agree we all should. And from what I read I think it's an interesting article.

I commend your steadfastness(is that a word). I voted for Nader in 2000. I like the guy a tremendous amount and I dont subscribe to the theory that we shouldn't vote for someone just because they can't win. We should vote for who we believe in. The thing is, a lot of us really believe in Barrack.

Personally I dont mind his record being out. I think he has a fine record regardless of homeboy's commentary on it.

I know you do. That's why I want to know if the information posted in the OP would have any effect on your support or opinion of him.

How do you feel about his votes for the Patriot Act?
How do you feel about his votes to fund the war and prolong it instead of urging withdrawl?
How do you feel about his vote for the CAFA?
How do you feel about HR 676 Single Payer National Insurance and his vote against it?
How do you feel about his lobbyists in the nuclear power industry snd his continued support of it?
How do you feel about his vote for the wall on the border and he new campaign stance of being against it?
How do you feel about his vote against the credit card interest rate cap while his campaign has been so against predatory lending?
How do you feel about him sponsering the National Medical Error Disclosure and Compensation Act of 2005?
How do you feel about his opposition to The Hardrock Mining and Reclamation Act of 2007 while having a key advisor in Nevada that is a Nevada-based lobbyist in the employ of various mining companies?
How do you feel about his weak energy policy in a time of crisis?
How do you feel about his doublespeak on NAFTA brought up in this article?
How do you feel about his leanings towards supporting Israel?

you can't believe? first of all, i dont believe you were being honest in that statement, but i forgive you. "anything for dramatic effect",.. right! secondly, i too thought perhaps this election would bring about a greater degree of discourse and debate, and therein work to elevate the masses of america into a more progressive state.

ha! looks like we're a couple of fools!

Honestly, some of the people here and the posts I'm used to seeing from them...yeah, I really can't believe it. Especially, the ones who have posted over and over again about the corruption of the two parties in power and the urge for progress in this country. All talk I suppose when it comes down to it. But you're correct, others I shouldn't be too surprised at.

Sadly, we definitely were a couple of fools. *sigh*
