I know, USSR, China, Vietnam, North Korea, Loas, Cuba.......great examples of quality of life. Even Europe's governments aren't 100% socialist. I'm sorry, I don't want to pay for your doctor. I don't want to pay for anyones bills but mine, I have that right. If People are not going to evenly contribute to the pot, then why do I have to work harder for someone else to enjoy my tax money more then they already are?BRING BACK THE WHALE0 -
some chick on Fox just DRILLED McCain for proposing the $300b housing buy back ... "the free market conservative movement just keeled over and sank to the bottom of the ocean" with McCains plan ... Really, very little to add to that. I'm sure of the six-million questions submitted, that some of them must have been frank and explicit questions regarding serious issues. On the other hand, we got pre-sorted and pre-determined questions that lacked any real immediacy to them.
Seems like having the audience there was just to give the illusion that the candidates were speaking directly to the people, instead of directly off of their pre-written notes.

one thing we have to remember ... we have been following this for a while, this may be the first time a lot of people are seeing this"You're one of the few Red Sox fans I don't mind." - Newch91

I don't think that has the calming effect you intended.
If anything, it had quite the opposite, for me anyways.
edit: either point. i'm a yankees fan. :(0 -

Discussing a bill pushed by Bush and Cheney, he said something like, "I bet you'll be never guess who voted for it [points], 'that one,' I voted against it."0 -
I'm going to stop paying my mortgage cuz John McCain will by my house and give me a better rate with my own taxes...

I wasn't trying to calm, I firmly beleive too many Americans don't pay attention, and sadly, politicians gear their message to them ... agian, we'll get a 60% turn out ... IF WE'RE LUCKY."You're one of the few Red Sox fans I don't mind." - Newch91

Also - he was belittling Obama, and going over how Obama did not have experience on foreign affairs. Most of the presidents that we have had- started out with little to no experience-
and McCain should leave off the experience talk- especially with Palin-0 -

He's on my tv more than anyone else...ever.
actually impressed with how many times his ad's run. Even though he will gain financially for following his plan, I think he's doing a good job getting peoples attention and talking. Al Gore and others need to aspire to be in the public eye as much"Music, for me, was fucking heroin." eV (nothing Ed has said is more true for me personally than this quote)
