While I'm not going to go so far as to call that a disappointment I am surprised he would even think of Obama after knowing how disastrous his domestic policies would be.

    Hell in a handbasket!
  • Wolf: Well, it seems then the two remaining democratic candidates are, when it comes to the war in Iraq, a lot closer to your stance then McCain.

Paul: Yeah i would think so. But, unless you look at their voting records. I mean, they really haven't voted that way. Even Obama has voted to support the war in their spending. And Hillary certainly has. So i mean, their rhetoric is certainly better.
[...] I think the Democrats are playing on some of the sympathies that i get, which is that we should back away from some of the commitments we have over there.

Wolf: If you had to pick one of those three right now, who would it be?

Paul: Meh. Well it would be a tough choice, because i see them all as about the same. But i would think that the one who would most likely keep us from expanding the war is probably Obama. But that doesn't mean that's an endorsement [laughing], because he'd spend the money somewhere else, and his voting record isn't all that great. But you asked me the question and I would say he would be slightly better.

    Yep.
    Glowing endorsement.
    Paul "FAVORS" Barack.

Who said anything about endorsement? When someone says "I would say he would be slightly better", does that not mean he favors him to the other two?

Slightly better and about the same as Hillary and McCain.

That seems quite the step down from the usual pro-Obama posts around here
rejoicing in Obama's greatness. Most of you act like Hillary and McCain are hideous warmongers who will do anything they have to to get power.....and you're absolutely right. But posting something that has the opinion of Obama being about the same as that or only slightly different, really only enforces my already poor opinion of him.

saying that he's slightly better than the other 2 gets you this excited? the question was posed as which of the 3 mainstreamers he would prefer.

There was never much to go on in the first place. Obama = institution vote.

If anyone supports the crackers...it would be Ron Paul.

Slightly better than pure shit is the same thing I've been saying this whole damn time.

and it surely is not an impressive statement, to me. and certainly would not be enough reason for me to vote for someone. 'hey, I'm about the same but only slighty better than crap! Vote for me!'

    I'll pass.

    whoop whoop!!!!

    :D

it seems like paul was pressed to give an answer, not much of an endorsement, nor is kucinich's which he said was for that primary, not overall
    standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
    eager to identify with
    someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way

    what di you call it?

i call it a flat out endorsement

just because it doesnt fit your views, doesnt mean you should dismiss what happened. he CLEARLY advocated for Barack Obama on the eve of the most important primary

"kucinish says vote for Obama" and you follow with "but thats not an endorsement"

if Obama was so evil as you guys have been trying to paint for months, then why would Kucinich EVER endorse him? why would he state that Obama is a candiate for change?

    you guys are too funny

If you read the thread, you will see that no one is claiming that Paul endorsed Obama.

my2hands wasn't serious with that, or at least, I hope he wasn't. I took it as a tounge in cheek comment to get the Paultards fired up.
