Was wondering if anybody watched the debate tonight? Who you thought won? What your thoughts are on the candidates ?

I thought for lieberman was quick even though he used petty attacks on Lamont he was very convincing even when he was lying about his record a little. Lamont looked nervous but always stayed on topic and could see he does contrast with Lieberman on several issues. Lamont: "It's not going to take me 18 years before I sign my name to a universal healthcare bill".

Didn't see it. I'm from Connecticut and I don't care for Liberman. He's the reason, I THINK that Gore lost the election, along with the Bush camp fixing it.

He's a republican in democrats clothing.

    Ned Lamont should win!

It was originally broadcast on CSPAN, BTW, not Channel 30.

I saw the debate. I think Lieberman was the winner.

Lamont's a single issue guy. He disagrees with Lieberman on the war in Iraq which is respectable.

But Lieberman took the advantage when Lamont tried to say he wasn't a real Democrat. How's that possible when Lieberman has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood, AFL-CIO, Human Rights Campaign, the Sierra Club, etc? He has a very solid record on "Democratic" issues. For Lamont to say he isn't a Democrat because he supports the war is nonsensical.

Lieberman will win in the end, but nothing like a debate to make the party stronger.

    eager to identify with
    someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
