I drink coffee ( and a lot of it ) - strictly for the drug inside of it

I love Starbucks coffee - but that's all I get from there -

Black coffee - no tricks, no creams , no syrups, no mocha or macchiatos, etc.

Their biggest coffee costs $1.90 -2.00 depending on where you are

If you're paying $5, you was robbed

You can get a bottle of 100 caffeine pills for less than $10, which is 100 cups of coffee.

Well, I do like the taste, of course

    But thanks for the tip

OK I'll admit it...I'm a Starbucksaholic. I luv it....Mocha's are my favorite. Serious addiction issues here. I had to wean myself off of it last winter because I was gaining pounds from all the fat....not a healthy habit! I'm proud to say I am down to 1 or 2 a month. Actually I luv any coffee, but Starbucks is the equivalent junk food to coffee drinkers as McDonalds is to burger buffs.

I have to laugh in that we have a single serve coffee maker in the office. Supposedly the quality is great and it is free. Yet every day about half the coffee drinkers buy their coffee.

I've been to Starbucks maybe once or twice in my life.

Honestly...who pays this kind of money for water, a dash of milk, a teaspoon or two of sugar and few dozen coffee beans?

Is it me, or is this one of the biggest cons going?

I would prefer to avoid caffeine, but over time it has proven to be a pre-work necessity. So, I stop at the local gas n' go for my 16 ounce, $1.62 "Rain City Roast" from Fidalgo Bay every morning before work. Where the hell is Fidalgo Bay?

Anyway, I've only been to a Starbucks once. Last year at the Gorge. The morning after the Saturday show, Wolfbear and I drove into Ellensburg and got some AC and coffee.

I drink starbucks....at times...but only because it's the only place to get a latte around here. If there was a local place I'd go there instead.

Nice. My dad used to keep a boat at Fidalgo Marina. My parents had a house in Anacortes for a few years.

I frequent local independent coffee shops around Seattle, preferably those who do their own roasting. Zoka is the best, no question (http://www.zokacoffee.com/). My drink is a double, short Americano (2 shots of espresso, a little hot water in a small cup). No cream. No sugar. Just the beautiful flavor of coffee.

I had a starbucks latte while in seattle the other week, it's the weakest coffee out there, no wonder people go in and ask for a double or tripple shot.

Starbucks are on to a good money making scheme there, make it taste of warm milk and they'll spend a few cent's more to make the coffee actually taste like coffee.

Best Latte's are from small cafe's least there always good and strong.

The coffee from starbucks sucks. It doesn't even taste like coffee. But it seems paying 5X what that shit is worth does a hell of a job attracting customers. So bravo to the genious who did that.

Only wankers go to cafes, however good they are. The pub trade is dying and the world is becoming over-populated with petit-bourgeois tossers who have forgotten the joys of irresponsible drinking, fighting and insulting the police.

it's not even all that good for coffee, they roast the piss out of it and cover it's burnt flavor with lots of milk.

Give me a mild roasted Costa Rican every morning.

I like my beer malts roasted, keep the coffee mild and black.
