only if we can get don king to promote it. We could then donate the money back to the iraqi's.

Sorry to spoil the fun. This guy shouldn't be executed. Life without parole, maybe. Nobody should be executed. State-mandated killing corrupts us all.

Edit: I know Iraq isn't the 51st state. So void my opinion. I have no opinion.

If it is televised, I have no interest in watching, no.

Is killing Saddam supposed to deter other would-be dictators? I doubt it will work. I mean, Hitler's death certainly didn't deter Saddam.

That only works as a deterant if the person is afraid to die.

Personally, I don't see how Saddam broke the law. He wrote the law, he was dictator. International Law? Since when is that important. On that note, let's execute Bush Jr.

I believe Hitler committed suicide, no?

    I'm in on the ppv!

If there's a problem in Iraq, we still use hanging as a method of execution here in Washington State.

I wouldn't execute Bush, either. What's sad to me is that many of the anti-Bush legions would be delighted with this prospect.

Hell, I was talking to a close friend of mine the other day on the passing of Gerald Ford and gave the opinion that I thought he seemed like a decent guy. The response I get from my friend: HE PARDONED NIXON!!!

    Unfuckingbelievable, sometimes.

Yea that sucks man, killing people and people dying is not excusable by their history. It's just done to make the sheep feel good. I wish these people could grow up, you know?

    I know.

Everybody has such (maybe an innate) desire to belong to something meaningful in the world...it seems to skew, well, it fucks it all up most of the time.

    It's a world problem.

Yes, let's congratulate ourselves for bringing 19th century democracy to Iraq.

They've got a civil war, and they've got hangings, and let's not forget they've got robber barons - although that last part is a role we're taking up for them.

I think everyone has a little bit of Saddam Hussein in them. That little bit is the part that wants to see him hanged.

Just so we're clear here. We're not killing him for using American chemical weapons on Iranians like we told him to, we're killing him for using them on people in Iraqi towns were attempts on his life were made?

Oh...and for using them on Kurds, while our allies in Turkey have slaughtered and continue to slaughter Kurds by the thousands up in the mountains?

I see. It all makes sense to me now. :(

If the same criteria which have been applied to Sadaam Hussein were to be applied to other world leaders then get George Bush, Rumsfeld and Tony Blair ready for a hanging.
