60 minutes slanted the Ahmadinejad interview

Very interesting that he gets an award for it as well don't you think?

"Mike Wallace Interviewed Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on 60 Minutes. At the request of the Iranian President Ahmadinejad, the FULL UNEDITED version was shown on C-SPAN. "The cable public affairs net will air the 60 Minutes edited version, followed by the full 90-minute interview, to give viewers a window on what is left on the cutting room floor." - John Eggerton -- Broadcasting & Cable, 8/11/2006
We can see what they cut out, a call for democracy. This is another example of Mainstream Media's continuing suppression of basic facts concerning Israel and the Palestinians and other dramatic details related to the Middle East. It is a scandal for news editors to suppress the fact that democracy is being denied to people and that U.S. policy makers are behind the injustices. It is a scandal that the mainstream media suppresses the fact that the President of Iran is calling for democracy.

Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

not defending the editing, but if Ahmadinejad is serious, then say this openly while in Iran, and not just to a U S audience. I'm not going to believe anything he says in the U S, or to a U S audience that he is unwilling to say in his native land. It's just propaganda to me otherwise.
As for showing it, they should have, at least it would spark debate, but it's not criminal since he is unwilling to back up his words in any other forum.

I trust European and other international sources far more than U S ones. I can't state that he has never, but I looked, and generally read international news the last decade, and have't come across anything.
I have noticed a distinct difference in what he says at home, compared to what he says when abroad. Not saying that's not something other leaders do, but it seems a bit extreme on his part.

It concerns me when people wide-spread-like build houses on flawed foundations...

old news, seen it before, and yes I understand we have one of the worst foreign policies in the world. The economic imperialistic part of our foreign policy has been far worse (for others) than our military one.
that being said, a government that wants to destory another, with no wiggle room due to theological reasons can't be taken lightly. We allowed Hitler to do his thing when most knew his plans, we don't want to let that happen again, but our problem is we don't have any credibility to do so.

yeah, it might make you feel better to make my posts fit your findings, but you're wrong, sorry, struck out, bye now.
anyway, prove it's not true, I'm not infallable. I'm saying I haven't found anything as I've paid attention to the world's news, especially the 3 yrs living in Europe. So from what I have found, I made a conclusion, not pre-conceived, but conceived.

I'm saying that to make up our minds based on limited information we are slanting our own perceptions with bias, rather than with knowledge. I don't think it's a good idea to shut down actual discernment and jeopardize understanding.
If you choose to only accept what you want to hear, have at it.

I remember Ahmadinejad talking about how Zionism in it's current state of affairs will be wiped from the pages of history, as have all other failed ideologies of the past. I don't recall him saying too much about destroying other countries.

no, not what he should say, it's about him pandering in one place, while his message is extremist in another. It's not my requirement, it's a fact that he takes the approach I mention. So when he comes to the west and cuts out the extremist talk, and plays nice, which he doesn't do at home, it doesn't have any credibility.
as for limited information, I've stated I've went to many news sources outside the U S, and have done so for over a decade, so I feel I have more than enough information to make the statement I made, maybe you don't, but I'm comfortable that I do.

I think we can agree, well I could be wrong, that the U S will do just about anything, and allow private U S companies to do the same as long as profit is involved, and it is somewhat under the radar. Funny how much is actually not under the radar, but just plain ignored.
