    You realize South Obsettia and Abkhazia are breakaway provinces of Georgia right?

    I believe that the general population of these areas is overwhelmingly pro-Russia. Many of them are probably ethnic Russians that didn't leave when the Soviet Union collapsed. So it is no surprise that they will have a very pro-Russian outlook when asked whether the Russians being their is positive.

    It is a very complex situation. The same thing could happen on the Crimean Peninsula in the Ukraine since the population there is similarly pro-Russian.
