No shit...they couldn't even knock down the twin towers without the U.S. government being involved...miskin wrote:i dont think al qaeda are powerful enough to provoke 'ww3'.
they say a lot of stuff all the time, but theyr relatively powerless.0 -
lol...he's not even real, dude. They've used the same photo of him only slightly altered and try to pass it off as a new photo. It's quite silly. No doubt the U.S. just needed a new face for the bad guy since they fucked up the whole Bin Laden thing.THE LOOK wrote:I am about sick of this Zawahiri. I would love to get into the octagon with this fool.0 -
Oh really? You think arms dealers want peace? You think politicians that get mad money from these companies want peace? Talk about simplistic views.....NCfan wrote:That is a pretty simplistic view. Everybody wants peace... even the Islamic Fascist. We just don't agree with their idea of peace and they don't agree with ours.
The left doesn't agree with the right on how to bring about peace. But in the end, that is what everybody wants.0 -
Clearly the plan, except you certainly cannot use the word "democracy." The American government does not believe in democracy. They put their leaders where they want them. There have been several instances of U.S. involvement in overthrowing a democratically elected leadership on foreign soil. Plus, if America truly believed in democracy then Al Gore would have taken the presidency in 2000 that he so rightfully deserved.aBoxOfFear wrote:it's my opinion that america wants to rule the world, they want to spread democracy in the middle east so that american companies like mcdonalds and starbucks will thrive and american oil companies can suck the desert dry. i think this has been the plan all along.0 -
robbie wrote:not everybody wants peace. follow the money. there is profit and power to be obtained from war. halliburton does not want peace. no oil company wants peace. weapons manufacturers do not want peace. fear mongering politicians do not want peace. religion does not want peace. i cannot believe that there are still people who believe that EVERYONE wants peace. what everyone seems to want is power. look at human history fom fucking out loud. does it look like a history bent o peace or struggle for power.or profit? those without anything to gain from war want peace....but those are not the people in power. i assure you the bush administration does not want peace. whre would they be without war? where would they be without fear? even the most supportive of the presidents plans to roll back our civil liberties are supportive because these losses of liberty make us "safer" the increased power the president enjoys does not come from peace...but from war. al qaeda does not want peace. they want to impose their insane religion on the entire planet. conversion or death is not a peaceful tactic. not when it is al qaedas tactic, and not when it was the tactic of cortez by order of the pope. please look at who profits from war...and look at their place in society...their place to decide war or peace...and then tell me everybody wants peace.
thank you ... and these people are making all the decisions in this world ... understanding al qaeda was originally funded by the CIA ... there are only really 2 sides to this ...0 -
Casey1 wrote:Bush's biggest mistake (of which there are many) is that he spent all of his political capital on the war in Iraq when he should have been saving it for when he really needed...like now. Iraq was the biggest strategic blunder in military history. It was a war of choice...we chose the time and the location, yet we did not use enough people and we did npt secure the borders. The place is overrun with foreign fighters in addition to homegrown militias. Iran controls the country and there's nothing we can do about it. But don't worry, because Bush and Rumsfeld say that everything is okay (ha!).
Zawahiri's comments indicate a major shift in operational focus for al-Qaeda. If they have had a master plan in reserve, I would say that they are ready to implement it now. We will just have to wait and see what happens. This is scary shit and I wish I wasn't caught right in the middle of it.
welcome to the board... do you mind if i ask what the hell you are doing in bagdad?0 -
Maybe I'm wrong but calling up 30,000 reserve troops and setting up shop near the border sure doesn't seem like "scaling back" to me. I'm guessing you heard this rubbish on foxnews?icarus wrote:plus israel is scaling back its offensive against lebanon.0 -
"Israel has said"....sorry, I couldn't make it past those three words. It's not about what they're saying, it's about what they're fucking doing.icarus wrote:israel has said theyre not going to invade as far as they had planned and that they wont occupy as much territory as before. but i guess you have the inside info.0 -
Although there may be a point in time labelled as WWIII it will be fought in a completely different way than the previous 2. Too many people have nuclear weapons collecting dust and as soon as one of them is fired we are all in very big trouble.Which came first,
the bad idea or me befallen by it?0 -
here's my opinion....fuck the middle east.
i'm tired of their tiring tiresome tired old shit.0 -
bisepost wrote:The new video calling for attacks on the western world in general by Ayman al-Zawahiri is a huge step forward towards a huge war. It could unite the shiite and sunni sects, both of which have huge militias.
You know that most of the history down there is about how much the shi'ites and the sunnis hate eachother and war on eachother, right? I hardly see them jumping forward and uniting anytime soon.
And that an islamist guerilla leader go out on tv to rally support for his cause, well of course he will. How many will listen is something else entirely. It helps if you take in the fact that the muslims is no hive-mind, and that when all is said and done, they are all very familiar to us and what we do, although they have other practices and another history. Hizbollah and Al Qaeda is no world war, dangerous as they may be on a small scale.
A world war would require at least china and russia involved with the US in a conflict of sorts between them. A couple of thousand terrorists, and the armies of perhaps, what, 2 nations and rather small ones too, will not be a world war.
Peace

It's gotta get settled sooner rather than later. We must defeat radical Islam or this shit will happen for eternity. They want to be martyrs, I say we help them achieve that goal.

Radical Islam? Hey let's kill all the radical christians!I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Unless you're working at the clinic, right? Killing is killing. I say that more than 1/2 of this "terrorist" bullshit is completely concocted in the pentagon anyway....I doubt dubya is staging attacks at planned parenthood. Plus, anyone who's for killing may as well be a terrorist. You certainly seem to fit the mold with your "Bring it on" attitude. Maybe you should enlist.69charger wrote:I'm for that too. But abortion clinic bombers are a far less problem than (insert any one of thousands of Islamic terror organizations).0 -
Some time ago a crazy dream came to me,
I dreamt I was walkin' into World War Three,
I went to the doctor the very next day
To see what kinda words he could say.
He said it was a bad dream.
I wouldn't worry 'bout it none, though,
They were my own dreams and they're only in my head.
I said, "Hold it, Doc, a World War passed through my brain."
He said, "Nurse, get your pad, this boy's insane,"
He grabbed my arm, I said "Ouch!"
As I landed on the psychiatric couch,
He said, "Tell me about it."
Well, the whole thing started at 3 o'clock fast,
It was all over by quarter past.
I was down in the sewer with some little lover
When I peeked out from a manhole cover
Wondering who turned the lights on.
Well, I got up and walked around
And up and down the lonesome town.
I stood a-wondering which way to go,
I lit a cigarette on a parking meter
And walked on down the road.
It was a normal day.
Well, I rung the fallout shelter bell
And I leaned my head and I gave a yell,
"Give me a string bean, I'm a hungry man."
A shotgun fired and away I ran.
I don't blame them too much though,
I know I look funny.
Down at the corner by a hot-dog stand
I seen a man, I said, "Howdy friend,
I guess there's just us two."
He screamed a bit and away he flew.
Thought I was a Communist.
Well, I spied a girl and before she could leave,
"Let's go and play Adam and Eve."
I took her by the hand and my heart it was thumpin'
When she said, "Hey man, you crazy or sumpin',
You see what happened last time they started."
Well, I seen a Cadillac window uptown
And there was nobody aroun',
I got into the driver's seat
And I drove 42nd Street
In my Cadillac.
Good car to drive after a war.
Well, I remember seein' some ad,
So I turned on my Conelrad.
But I didn't pay my Con Ed bill,
So the radio didn't work so well.
Turned on my player-
It was Rock-A-Day, Johnny singin',
"Tell Your Ma, Tell Your Pa,
Our Loves Are Gonna Grow Ooh-wah, Ooh-wah."
I was feelin' kinda lonesome and blue,
I needed somebody to talk to.
So I called up the operator of time
Just to hear a voice of some kind.
"When you hear the beep
It will be three o'clock,"
She said that for over an hour
And I hung it up.
Well, the doctor interrupted me just about then,
Sayin, "Hey I've been havin' the same old dreams,
But mine was a little different you see.
I dreamt that the only person left after the war was me.
I didn't see you around."
Well, now time passed and now it seems
Everybody's having them dreams.
Everybody sees themselves walkin' around with no one else.
Half of the people can be part right all of the time,
Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time
I think Abraham Lincoln said that.
"I'll let you be in my dreams if I can be in yours,"
I said that.0 -

Maybe I should. I've been thinking about it a lot lately. I'd love to kill some of these animals myself.0
